Hindu Mahasabha’s Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, a minister in Bengal under Fazlul Haq’s ruling coalition, writes to British Government expressing solidarity and advice on how to suppress Quit India Movement, saying: “Anybody, who during the war, plans to stir up mass feeling, resulting internal disturbances or insecurity, must be resisted by any Government that may function for the time being.”
