short stories. first draft! "man in a café I was sitting in my favourite café at my regular table, a four-seater beside the main window, looking out over the cafés well-manicured lawn and flower beds to the large red-brick Edwardian houses fronting onto the main Dublin - Belfast road. I was given to using this particular table because its location meant I would not be in too close a proximity to cafés other clients, being a four-seater meant there was plenty of space to place the Irish Independent and the Irish Times, so generously provided by the café proprietors, in a readable position beside my plate of a full Irish breakfast. And of course, the window views added to the ambience, while allowing me to view the passing street life on the busy thoroughfare!
