Released by the Russian label Gost Zvuk, producer Aleksei Nikitin offers a 16-track portrait of IDM, atmospheric sketches, and weightless techno inspired by six-month-long St. Petersburg winters. https://open.spotify.com/album/4Ex4JzSdpWVu3bBjg65iqx

Most of these songs were made for original stage adaptations of science fiction novels, like Connor Kizer's production of "Behold The Man" or Evan Moritz & Gerry Mak's production of "The Left Hand of Darkness." One of the songs, though, was for Emily Hall & Nick Vyssotsky's original adaptation of "The Cook, The Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover." https://open.spotify.com/album/6YVwuOhUttBbCoUwRJs9fQ

“Barcelona’s John Talabot and Stockholm’s Axel Boman work in tandem to bring house music off the floor and into the air with an invigorating and meditative mix of compositions.” https://open.spotify.com/album/7ljVNLE7PRnrJDWK2U1x7K
“The original idea (and title) for Tokyo stemmed from a chance comment. We had just finished recording a track and after playing it back one of us (we can’t remember who) said that it reminded them of Tokyo. Neither of of us had ever been to Tokyo and we realised that our entire conception of the city originated from films, TV and books. We liked this idea of creating music for a place that only existed in our minds. We weren’t interested in faithfully representing the reality of Tokyo and had no wish to make “authentic” Japanese music, we really just liked the images of Tokyo we’re regularly exposed to. We thought of this music as a form of Hi-Tech Ambience.” https://open.spotify.com/album/7ApwhRH7ZXOM59JPDZNEOX

One of those songs I almost always shed a tear to if I listen carefully in a zen moment. Apparat is lush AF! ❤️

This song seems to be written about my life, especially my failing relationships because I just can't let go of some of the downsides girls have. When will I ever learn to accept imperfection? Maybe last night with my mates from Meise is s turning point. They understand my vibe. They let me do what I want to do. And that's playing music for all of you. 🔑🔑🔑

I wonder how long we can get away
Side by side, I'm stuck to my phony pride
Always craving for something missing

Never get it, I always try
Never get it, I'm always trying

Never really been down with someone
Everyone of us would wish to be.
Someday, not too far away, we'll be facing.

We never share what we hide, after all
We wanna share what we hide, after all

See you passing by everyday, yeah
We're living up time in the night
Everyone of us, deep inside wishes...

We would share what we hide, after all
We could share what we hide, after all
We could share what we hide, after all
