Engaging Communities for the Future of Local Youth!

⚑️USAID/Uzbekistan Youth Employment Skills (YES) Activity recently organized a community engagement informational tour in three micro-regions of Fergana region. Residents of the mahallas, as well as students and representatives of Fergana State University and Fergana Polytechnic Institute were invited to learn more about the USAID/ Youth Employment Skills (YES) Activity. The main objective of these meetings was to inform the local communities about the goals and objectives of the USAID YES Activity and the need for local communities to support young people in understanding and identifying professional opportunities in their communities. By nurturing positive attitudes around youth workforce readiness, USAID aims to motivate parents and family members to support young people in their pursuit of future employment opportunities.

πŸ’« C5+O.N.E. Participants Successfully Complete Another Trimester

We are pleased to announce the successful completion of another trimester for our esteemed participants in Khiva, Nukus, Samarkand, Tashkent, and Urgench.

🌟 Throughout the trimester, our dedicated 132 professionals in the field of energy and environment, split into 15 groups in Cohort 1 and Cohort 2, engaged in 60 hours of intensive language training. These classes focused on developing essential skills in communicative competence in English, following the principles of Communicative Language Teaching (CLT). In addition to English Language Classes, Cohort One participants from Nukus, Khiva, and Tashkent attended the First National Networking Event held in a hybrid format in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. It should also be mentioned that participants attended a series of online workshops provided as part of the supplementary activities of the C5+O.N.E. (Opening Networks through English) program. One such activity took place on December 2nd, where Cohort 1 participants from Nukus, Khiva, and Tashkent visited the UzAtom Agency in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

πŸŽ‰ We are delighted to see the progress made by all participants during this period. On behalf of C5+O.N.E., we extend our congratulations to all Cohort One and Cohort Two participants, including our Classroom Teachers, for their dedication and hard work in successfully completing the Trimester.
