🌟 #RARinAction in Namangan!

On June 21, 2025, Regional Alumni Representative in Namangan Elena Mustaeva led a dynamic Career Mentorship Program at LSL Private School in Namangan. The event brought together 49 motivated high school students and 13 accomplished alumni of U.S. Government exchange programs, including the Online Professional English Network (OPEN), Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement (Fulbright TEA) Program, TechGirls, Faculty Enrichment Program (FEP), and the Future Leaders Exchange Program (FLEX).

πŸŽ“ Through a full day of interactive workshops, motivational talks, and networking sessions, students explored career planning, leadership, and the value of global education. Morning sessions featured OPEN alumni leading workshops on diverse career paths and resume writing, FEP alumna offering insights on resilience and growth, and Fulbright TEA alumni helping students align academic choices with personal goals.

β˜•οΈ A coffee break gave participants the chance to network informally with the speakers and each other, creating space for meaningful conversations.

πŸ’¬ In the afternoon, FLEX and TechGirls alumni inspired students through talks on overcoming challenges, pursuing tech careers, and setting SMART goals. Students also participated in mock job interviews and a Q&A session where they received practical tips and encouragement for their next steps.

πŸ™Œ The event created a warm and welcoming space where alumni shared their stories and offered ongoing support through mentorship and the alumni community.

πŸ“Œ Led by Regional Alumni Representatives, this event is part of the USG Alumni Program β€” funded by the U.S. Embassy Tashkent and administered by American Councils Uzbekistan.

🌟 #AlumniImpact in Chirchik!

From June 5 to 28, Dilorom Hushvaktova, a 2014 Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement (TEA) Program and 2023 Access Academic Exchange Program alumna, led a dynamic professional development project titled β€œUnderstanding American Perspectives through Popular Culture with English Language Teachers". Over the course of 12 interactive sessions held every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, the initiative brought together 30 passionate English teachers from Chirchik and nearby schools.

πŸ“š Inspired by her recent academic exchange in Kansas, Dilorom introduced teachers to new ways of incorporating authentic American cultural materials, such as virtual museum tours, U.S. literature, and digital media, into their classrooms.

🎨 Through engaging activities and open discussions, teachers explored how American values are reflected in everyday culture, from social media to art and beyond. The sessions went beyond textbook holidays and vocabulary, focusing on intercultural competence and strategies to bring real-world context into English lessons.

πŸ’‘ By the end of the program, participants walked away with fresh ideas, practical tools, and renewed motivation to inspire their students with more meaningful, culturally rich learning experiences.

πŸ’« The English for IT Summer Camp Officially Launches with a Dynamic Training of Trainers

The program kicked off with an impactful Training of Trainers (ToT), held in Tashkent on July 24–25 β€” designed to align instructors on the curriculum and explore effective methodologies for delivering engaging sessions throughout the camp.

Trainers from Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Fergana, and Nukus came together for two days of interactive sessions and hands-on workshops, building the skills and confidence to lead dynamic, student-centered camps for 9th and 10th graders across Uzbekistan.

πŸ“šThis ToT marked the beginning of a three-week journey (July 28 – August 15, 2025) that empowers youth with English language, IT skills, and leadership development β€” all through engaging, project-based learning. Students will also benefit from leadership sessions delivered by U.S. trainers, adding a global perspective to the experience.

Through interactive sessions, collaborative projects, and guest speaker events, the initiative aims to strengthen communication skills, digital competencies, and future career pathways for Uzbekistan’s rising generation of tech-minded learners. The camp also promotes awareness of global technology trends and encourages future collaboration with U.S. institutions and businesses.

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ The English for IT Program is funded by the U.S. Government through the Public Diplomacy Section of the U.S. Embassy in Uzbekistan and implemented by American Councils for International Education in partnership with IT Park University.
