Last night Acting Chief of Mission Paul Poletes awarded certificates of completion to members of three Open World delegations. The delegates from the Senate and Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications visited New Mexico, Nebraska and Virginia earlier this year to learn about the U.S. government system and e-governance and governmental accountability. The Open World Program, funded by the U.S. Congress, brings emerging leaders from Eurasia to the United States for ten days of exchange to build and strengthen relationships between our countries. #openworld #uzbekistan

YPIP alumna 2021 Joins Oxbridge International School

As a senior at university, Husniya was looking for opportunities to get professional work experience in summer of 2021. After thorough research, she discovered the Young Professional Internships Program, applied, and was accepted.

During the eight week internship, she learned foundations of marketing and communications, in particular creating the content for social media networks. Each week she attended Friday professional development sessions, where she acquired knowledge on professional personal branding, resume building, elevator pitches, and interpersonal skills, and also had the opportunity to do mock job interviews.

Using skills she gained during YPIP Husniya landed a job at Oxbridge International School in Tashkent, where she is currently working as a math teacher.
