Kyiv City and Kyiv Oblast have come under heavy attacks since yesterday evening, with Russian Geran-4/5 jet-drones striking targets in several different locations, including at least 13 targets in Kyiv Oblast and 6 within Kyiv itself.
The primary targets were energy infrastructure facilities. As a result, new power outages are reported across the region, including at metro stations in Kyiv.
The Russian Ministry of Defence claims that an energy storage battery park in the city of Bila Tserkva was hit, which they allege supplied electricity to enterprises of Ukraine's military-industrial complex.

โ๏ธOver the last few weeks, Ukrainian forces have expanded their Lyman counteroffensive to the neighbouring Borova direction, where they have been conducting a new series of coordinated counterattacks, resulting in significant advances being made:
According to my information, Ukrainian forces have been making progress in two different areas here, slowly pushing the Russians back away from the Oskil River and alleviating pressure on the town of Borova from the north. This could also open up opportunities to unblock the northern Oskil bridgehead from the south in the future, where-in they could potentially Kupyansk-Vuzlovyi from the south.
In the west, Ukrainian forces were able to clear out the approaches to Bohuslavka and Novoplatonivka from earlier Russian infiltrations, and initiated counterattacks eastwards towards the village of Borivska Andriivka. They also advanced south from the Nova Kruhlyakivka area towards Borivska Andriivka, recapturing a series of trench fortifications, and officially eliminating the Russian salient between the Lozova and Oskil Rivers.
In the east, Ukrainian assault groups recaptured the village of Zelenyi Hai after a little over a week of fighting, and began pushing further north. They also secured the forested gullies east of the settlement and began infiltrating Vyshneve, which, according to Russian channel Rybar, is currently in the grey-zone, along with the fields north of the village.
Important disclaimer: this is only the information I have been explicitly told by my sources that I am allowed to make public. There have been a number of additional advances made in this sector that I have to wait before publishing in order to comply with Ukraine's OPSEC measures, or until open source information about them surfaces. The frontline shown on this map is very approximate and delayed, in order to prevent giving away targeting data about Ukrainian positions to the Russians.
Contrary to the main Lyman counteroffensive, there is almost no open source information to map these counterattacks with, which means I have to comply with Ukraine's OSPEC and informational campaigns as I am using exclusive information from sources on the ground to map this. The only open source information I used for this update was the recent geolocations showing Ukrainian soldiers being hit east of Zelenyi Hai, and Rybar's recent map update portraying Vyshneve as in the grey-zone.
+ ~39.19 kmยฒ in favour of Ukraine.

It is now being reported that Major Vitaliy Vasyliovych Bevza was killed in an airstrike on November 2 in the settlement of Komyshuvakha in the Zaporozhye region.
Once again it seems Ukraine has set up military headquarters near civilian as a shield against Russian strikes.
He was even spotted on the police body camera footage from inside the bunker that was simultaneously acting as a civilian shelter and military command position.

Seems like claims by both sides about Komyshuvakha were true to some extent.
A Ukrainian commander, who was seen on the bodycam footage from the school before the second strike, was killed, indicating some sort of Ukrainian command centre was likely either there or next-door.
A humanitarian aid point was definitely at the school too, where over 70 civilians were killed in the strikes.

And these are much-needed and limited Ukrainian clearing groups that could be used for defending the actual frontline.
One of the goals of these persistent deep Russian infiltrations is to keep Ukrainian forces engaged and tied up in what should be their relatively safe tactical rear.
