The Catholic Bishops' Conference of Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei has announced a change to the celebration of the Solemnity of the Assumption in 2026. For pastoral reasons, it will now be observed on 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝟏𝟔 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, rather than its original date of Saturday, 15 August 2026.

The Archdiocese of Kuala Lumpur joyfully announces the forthcoming ordination to the Order of Deacon. Following the recommendation of seminary formators and consultation with the College of Consultors, His Most Reverend Archbishop Julian Leow intends to call four candidates to diaconal ministry:
