Let us pray for all our deceased clergy.

Eternal Father, we offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in Purgatory, for sinners every where, for sinners in the universal church, those in our own home and within our family. Amen.

What does the "Immaculate Conception" mean?
God freely chose Mary from all eternity to be the Mother of his Son. In order to carry out her mission she herself was conceived immaculate. This means that, thanks to the grace of God and in anticipation of the merits of Jesus Christ, Mary was preserved from original sin from the first instant of her conception.

The Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception is a time to celebrate the great joy of God’s gift to humanity in Mary, and to recognize with greater clarity, the truth that each and every human being has been created by God to fulfill a particular mission that he and only he can fulfill.

What steps are you taking to prepare your family for Jesus' coming? This week as we light the second purple candle, let's persist in praying for peace, particularly in war-torn countries.

(Light the first and second purple candle on the Advent wreath)

Let us pray - Loving God, thank you for the gift of peace given through Jesus. Help us prepare our hearts for the Lord’s coming by fostering Christ's peace within our family. Amen.

Our Lady of Guadalupe is a title of Mary, the mother of Jesus, who appeared to a Mexican peasant named Juan Diego in 1531. She asked him to build a church in her honour on the hill of Tepeyac, where she showed him a miraculous image of herself on his cloak. She is the patroness of the Americas and a symbol of faith, hope, and love for millions of people.

We pray very specially for Pope Francis today as he celebrates 54 years of service in the priesthood.

Lord, preserve him and make him blessed upon the earth, deliver him not up to the will of his enemies. May he always be guided in the way of truth and in accordance to Your holy will.

Church of the Assumption's Rite of Dedication on 16th December at 10am. Archbishop Julian Leow, along with Parish Priests, Fr Leonard Lexson and Fr Biju Mathew, rededicated the Church. Archbishop shared with us that as the Church goes from darkness to light during the Rite, so must we move to the light daily - trying each day to be better than yesterday. Priests, Parishioners and invited guests were all treated to a scrumptious lunch in the Assumption Family House.
