FABC Calls for Peace in the Middle East

The Central Committee of the Federation of Asian Bishops' Conferences (FABC) issued a statement today during their gathering in Bangkok, expressing deep concern over the escalating violence in the Middle East and highlighting the potential for catastrophic global repercussions. Echoing the sentiments of Pope Leo XIV, the bishops call for an immediate ceasefire and a renewed commitment to diplomacy. They stress that achieving lasting peace necessitates interreligious solidarity, ongoing dialogue, and a dedication to safeguarding the poor and vulnerable.
