๐๐š๐ฌ๐œ๐ก๐š๐ฅ ๐“๐ซ๐ข๐๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ฆ online Mass times for parishes throughout the archdiocese are now available at www.archkl.org
Sundown on Holy Thursday to sundown on Easter Sunday is considered the most solemn part of the liturgical year. This three-day period is referred to as the ๐˜Œ๐˜ข๐˜ด๐˜ต๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ ๐˜›๐˜ณ๐˜ช๐˜ฅ๐˜ถ๐˜ถ๐˜ฎ, also known as the ๐˜š๐˜ข๐˜ค๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฅ ๐˜›๐˜ณ๐˜ช๐˜ฅ๐˜ถ๐˜ถ๐˜ฎ, or ๐˜—๐˜ข๐˜ด๐˜ค๐˜ฉ๐˜ข๐˜ญ ๐˜›๐˜ณ๐˜ช๐˜ฅ๐˜ถ๐˜ถ๐˜ฎ.

Todayโ€™s mass is referred to as ๐˜›๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ ๐˜”๐˜ข๐˜ด๐˜ด ๐˜ฐ๐˜ง ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ ๐˜“๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ๐˜ฅ'๐˜ด ๐˜š๐˜ถ๐˜ฑ๐˜ฑ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ. This is where the Church re-lives the institution of the Eucharist and the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass at the Last Supper, as well as the institution of the priesthood, which took place the evening before Jesus was crucified.

The Mass of the Lord's Supper on Holy Thursday concludes with a procession of the Blessed Sacrament to the "altar of repose," a place where the Eucharist is kept, away from the main altar where Mass is normally celebrated.

Good Friday is the second day of the Sacred Triduum and it commemorates the redemptive suffering and death of Jesus Christ by crucifixion.

The liturgy of Good Friday includes a special reading of the Gospel โ€“ the Passion reading, the veneration of the cross and the distribution of Holy Communion. The tone of the service is solemn with periods of silence in the beginning and the end.

The most important Good Friday symbol is the crucifix which represents the way in which Jesus died. The Stations of the Cross is often incorporated before the service. In solidarity with Jesusโ€™ passion, Catholics are called to fast (one meal) and abstain from meat on Good Friday.

Holy Saturday is known as the day of โ€œwaitingโ€ as we mourn the death of Jesus and wait for the coming of his joyful resurrection. The silence of this day reminds us of the witness and intercession of Mother Mary when our crosses become too heavy to carry.

In the evening of Holy Saturday we are called to spread the Light of Christ to the world through Easter Vigil as the Church celebrates the resurrection of Christ. This is the night we experience the sacred and greatest liturgy of the entire year together with our new brothers and sisters in Christ receiving their Sacrament of Initiation on this night!

The joy and hope of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ reminds us that suffering and death is not the final destiny of our lives, but rather eternal joy, peace and life to the fullest in the Kingdom of God.

On Easter vigil, parishes across the Archdiocese witnessed the newly baptised began their journey as members of the Church.

This video are stories of the newly baptised from Church of St. Jude Thaddeus , Rawang as an example.

Let us continue to journey with the newly baptised in our respective parishes.

In the early church, those who wished to convert, were not allowed to witness any of the Churchโ€™s celebration until they are baptised so as to keep a sense of anticipation. This was how the word โ€œMystagogyโ€ which means initiation into the mysteries came about. The newly baptised today still have much more to journey in their new found faith and thus these neophytes (new plant- as faith has been newly planted in them) continue to learn about the sacraments and the Catholic Church in this period as they participate actively in Church.
Reach out and welcome these newly baptised in your BECs
