Understanding the Sacraments. CAH Tamil #20

The Sacraments are actions of God through which He shows us the love He has for us. If we understand them well, these celebrations become significant faith experiences for us. Join us this Friday, 22 July 2022 at 8:00 pm as we uncover the meaning of these sacraments with Fr Vincent Thomas.

FEAST OF ST. ANNE

A Father who Walks with Us
CHANCERY NOTICE
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘁𝘀 𝗝𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗲 is known as the feast of grandparents. Grandparents play a vital role in our families. They are the endless well of wisdom and history. Their life and faith experiences make them invaluable to the next generation as they are the ones that share and pass down the traditions and heritage of the family.
Let us today remember all grandparents. May they be blessed with good health, long life and wealth. May they remain constant in the Lord and be living role models of His love and care to their children and grandchildren.
St Anne is also the saint of mothers, women in labour and women who are unable to conceive.

Are Catholics Allowed To Meditate? With Fr. Gerard Theraviam. Saturday 30 July @ 10.30am

According to the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC), “meditation is above all a quest. The mind seeks to understand the why and how of the Christian life, in order to adhere and respond to what the Lord is asking” (CCC, 2705). We speak to Fr Gerard Theraviam, Spiritual Director to the World Community for Christian Meditation Malaysia, to learn more about Christian mediation this Saturday, 30 July 2022 @ 10:30 am. Live on Catholics At Home Podcast.

In our modern era of post modernism and secularism, there seems to be an unspoken silence about the importance of ethical consciousness. Many have relegated morality to the realm of subjective interest  to be handled by religion and family, both of which don’t seem to be doing a very good job. Interestingly psychological research seems to indicate that  a lack of clarity about right and wrong; wholesome and unwholesome; good and bad;  and the tacit societal approval of  a “anything is alright, as long as you don’t get caught mentality”, is proving to be psychologically stressful and enormously destructive to peace and wellbeing. Gerard argues for families to  take significant effort to cultivate ethical consciousness in their children as this will certainly increase their chances of achieving a truly flourishing life .
