Advent anticipates not only the coming of Jesus as a child, but also to prepare us for the Second Coming of Christ. We are reminded to prepare and purify ourselves and to follow โ€œconstantly the path of penance and renewalโ€ (CCC No.1427). We are called to recognize ourselves as sinners and empowering us to take the first essential step in returning to God.
The Advent Penitential Service will begin physically from 28 November 2022. Let us renew our hearts through penance and fill our hearts with Christ, so we can fully anticipate His coming and experience true love, peace, joy and hope.
Come back to the Lord, be healed, be forgiven and free.

Did you know that Christโ€™s birth brought peace amongst the troops in 1914 during the first world war?

ArchKL Social Communications Ministry invites you on a prayerful journey of Peace this Advent. Spend a few minutes viewing and reflecting on the second of 4 reflections this Advent. Let the Holy Spirit guide you to the infant King.

Have I myself reconciled with God?
With the infant Jesus, am I ready to do the impossible for God and neighbour?

Beyond feeling, peace leads us to action. Jesus says โ€œBlessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.โ€

The 3rd Sunday of Advent is about Joy. The prophet Isaiah tells us to be joyful. The joy of the Lord Jesus is our hope and strength. But oftentimes we remember only pain and difficulties. We forget the joyful things and experiences in our life.

This week, to whom can I bring joy?
How can I be a messenger of joy?

His Grace Archbishop Julian would like to request for all the parishes to include this special prayer in their prayer of the faithful during the masses this weekend.

"For our Archdiocese, as we celebrate our elevation from being a Diocese in 1955 to a Metropolitan Archdiocese in 1972, we thank God for the past 50 years of Blessings, and pray we continue to be led by the Spirit towards Communion, Participation and Mission."

Thank you.

To love and be loved can be challenging. Sometimes we prefer to stay away from love and loving others. Itโ€™s too complicated, our mind tells us.
True love works through challenges and problems. Love helps us see to light even when we feel trapped in a cloud.
