PRAYER: Loving God, We pray that like Mary, we may open our hearts to being your obedient disciple. Help us to trust in you faithfully even during uncertain times. Grant us the grace to surrender our fears and doubts, as Mary surrendered herself for your glory and loving guidance. Oh Mother, most holy intercede for us before your Son, that we may grow in embracing your discipleship with humility and trust. We make this prayer through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

👫🎙️ *PART 2 : RAISING CHILDREN IN MIX MARRIAGES. CAH #143* ⛪✝️
These days it is common to find someone with parents of different faiths. While each parent wants the best for their child, conflicting views on religion may have a lasting impact on the children. We spoke to Fr. Patrick Massang not too long ago about the Catholic perspective on raising children in mixed-marriages.
But now, we want to speak to children of mixed parents to share their experience and maybe drop a few tips for today's parents that may be looking for guidance or answers. This Saturday, 19 August 2023 at 10.30am, Catholics At Home speaks to Adithya Menon and Sheema Nathan to find out what it was like to be raised in a household of different faiths.

40 cheerful school children, from years 3, 4 and 5, from the SJKT Thamboosamy Pillai, Sentul, planted 30 saplings in conjunction with the Season of Creation and 'Program Intervensi Obesiti' - an initiative run by the school under Kementerian Kesihatan, to encourage children to stay healthy and to get involved in a physical activity.
Fr. Andrew Manickam, volunteers and members of the Creation Justice Ministry, cheered the young children to enjoy being outdoors and to care for the plants that they had eagerly planted. For 18 children, this was the first time, they planted a plant and look forward to more opportunities. Each child was given a succulent to care for at home.
Thank you CJM for this collaboration.
It was well organized and the parents who attended the briefing session today - Theresa Ayakkannu, Guru Besar.
CJM thanks the headmistress, teachers, students, the gardener and the volunteers for making it a memorable experience for the children.
