Congratulations to Rep Liz Harris for winning the nomination to replace herself. She recieved the most votes with 107. On 4/24, she may go down in history as the only 2 time duly elected representative who is not seated. I guess in today's America, 3 times is charm!

The Democrats are one vote short on the judiciary panel since Diane Feinstein has been on medical leave.

Republicans currently have the ability to block Biden’s judicial nominees in wake of her absence.

Despite that, Lindsey Graham, Chuck Grassley, and Mike Lee voted to approve 7 of Biden’s judicial nominees on Thursday.

We the people are not aligned with the decision of our legislators regarding the expulsion of Liz Harris. I’m hereby asking she be reinstated for the following reasons:

a) Per the Arizona and US Constitutions, Liz received permission from the committee chair and allowed a constituent to utilize her constitutionally protected right to petition the government for redress of grievances (AZ Constitution Article 2 section 5; US Constitution Amendment 1, Bill of Rights)
b) Per the Mason's Manual of Legislative Procedure, Chapter 75 sec 796, the legislative body is mandated to investigate any allegation of bribery from its members.
c) Per House Rules 2023-2024, the House is mandated to write a code of conduct for its members. No such code has been written, making it impossible to charge Liz with disorderly conduct, but implicates the whole house in breach of House Rule 1 -  A violation of any of the House Rules shall be deemed disorderly behavior.
Representative Harris has repeatedly said in public that she was aware of the content and that she instructed Ms Breger to only speak on election integrity matters. Ms Breger did not follow that advice and chair Rogers allowed her testimony to continue. Ms Breger was not brought in for questions by the ethics committee to corroborate Ms Harris testimony. She was not treated according to our justice system and disorderly conduct was not proven.

d)until the House amends the statute to define what qualifies as disorderly conducts or incorporates a code of conduct, her expulsion is illegal. 71% of LD13 who voted for her have now been disenfranchised and that is unconstitutional.

Therefore I’m again reiterating my request that she be reinstated.

Tucson voters will be receiving their ballots in the coming days for an upcoming special election, and the single proposition for their consideration is drawing passionate arguments from both supporters and opponents.

Proposition 412 would grant “a franchise to Tucson Electric Power (TEP) Company for the purpose of providing electric transmission and distribution services within the City of Tucson for which the City of Tucson will receive a franchise fee and other consideration.” The “other consideration” comes, in part, in the form of a “Community Resilience Fee” that will fund Tucson’s Climate Action and Adaption Plan, which is an effort to achieve “carbon neutrality for City operations by 2030.” If Tucson voters were to approve the proposition, the agreement would continue until June 1, 2048. (The current agreement ends April 2026.)
