🔆 Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose

📍 Who was he?
✅ Revolutionary nationalist leader who advocated complete independence through armed struggle.
✅ Born on 23 January 1897 at Cuttack, Odisha.
✅ Cleared the Indian Civil Services (ICS) examination in 1920 but resigned to join the freedom movement.

📍 Major Contributions
✅ Elected Congress President at Haripura (1938) and Tripuri (1939).
✅ Founded the Forward Bloc (1939).
✅ Established the National Planning Committee (1938).
✅ Escaped house arrest in 1941 and sought international support for India’s freedom.
✅ Revived the Indian National Army (INA).
✅ Formed the Provisional Government of Azad Hind (1943).
✅ INA advanced towards Imphal and Kohima (1944), challenging British rule.

📍 Legacy
✅ Popularised the slogan “Give me blood, and I will give you freedom.”
✅ INA trials (1945–46) intensified nationalist sentiments and weakened British authority.
✅ 23 January is observed as Parakram Diwas in his honour.

📍 Last Days
✅ Reportedly died in a plane crash at Taipei, Taiwan, on 18 August 1945, though the circumstances remain debated.

📍 What is it?

✅ This reflects a K-shaped recovery, where economic gains are concentrated among a few while many households face stagnant wages and rising debt.

✅ GDP growth projected at 6.9% (FY27) with fiscal deficit target of 4.3%.
✅ Household financial savings declined to 5.2% of GNDI (FY23) from the long-term 7–8% average.
✅ Household debt increased from 3% of GDP (FY14) to 5.7% (FY23); overall household debt crossed 45.5% of GDP.
✅ Growing dependence on credit cards, personal loans, and gold loans for consumption.
