🎯 The Beacon Chain is the core of Ethereum 2.0, a system that uses validators and staked ETH to secure the network in a more energy-efficient way than the current proof-of-work system.

☝️ It coordinates validators, assigns tasks, and manages rewards and penalties. In the future, it will fully replace the proof-of-work system for Ethereum.
