Friday 30th June is the last day of Term 3 and the academic year 2022-23. In the published school calendar on our website it is shown as a full day, but given the large number of students who have already travelled, I have decided with my team to make it a half day and give you the option to pick up your children at lunchtime. Should this not suit your arrangements, you can leave your child here and we will provide a suitable program for those you remain with us.

Having completed my first term as your Head of School at Cambridge Academy Ethiopia, I just wanted to thank you for the welcome, support and encouragement that many of you have given me in the past weeks. I look forward to welcoming you and your children back to school next academic year when the term opens on Monday, 28th August 2023. I am very excited about the new academic year ahead and the strategic vision for school development over the next 3 years that was shared with you at my recent parent’s meeting.
If you haven’t already done so, please do re-register your children for their attendance next year as soon as possible as its very hard for us to plan without us knowing the exact numbers of students whose education we need to cater for across 2023/24. Please can I ask you to do so by Monday July 31st, at the very latest, through our Admissions Department.
Finally, end of year reports to all year groups across the Secondary and Primary Schools have been despatched to all year groups as of last Monday. If you have not received your child’s report, it is because you have outstanding tuition fees to be paid to our Finance Office. Once you have done so, your child’s end of term report will be released to you promptly. Parent’s of Y11 students who have not paid all tuition fees as yet, please note that IGCSE examination results will not be release until the same have been met in full.

የ IGCSE ውጤቶች ከጠዋቱ 3 - 5 ሰዓት እና ከ 8 - 9 ሰዓት በ አቶ መኩ ቢሮ ዝግጁ ሆነው የሚጠብቅዎት ሲሆን ለ11ኛ ክፍል (Year12)አማራጮችና በጂ.ሲ.ኢ-ኤ-ሌቭል (GCE-A-Level) እና ቢቲኢሲ (BTEC) ምርጫዎች ላይ ለመወያየት አቶ ኢማኑኤል እና አቶ ወንድወሰንን በሁለተኛ ደረጃ ኃላፊው ቢሮ ውስጥ የሚያገኙዋቸው ይሆናል፡፡

This is to inform you that the visit from the Ministry of Education that we were expecting got postponed until tomorrow i-e Friday 1st September 2023.
I understand that we are in transition into a new school uniform, but I would ask that tomorrow you send your children smartly dressed. If you only have the previous year's uniform please feel free to dress your children using that and if you have new school uniform, please use that. All students to wear dark shoes and not trainers.
New students who have not received their uniform as yet, please wear formal clothes, not sportswear.

Regarding uniform matters, we now have the full set of uniforms available for Early Years, we are however still waiting for a full set of PE uniforms for all years. From Monday, the 11th of September 2023, we expect ALL students to be arriving at school in the correct uniform. Please can you come and purchase the items you are still lacking by the end of this week.

One of the key benefits of school uniforms is that they help to create a sense of community and belonging. When everyone in a school is wearing the same clothes, it helps to break down social barriers and can make students feel like they are part of a larger group. This can be particularly important for students who are new to a school or who feel like they do not fit in.
Uniform is available from the shop in the main admin building in the school.
From Monday 11th September we will be enforcing a strict uniform policy. Students who attend the school without full uniform may be asked to return home until they are dressed as expected. We have reviewed the traffic flow into and out of the school and we have decided to make a significant change. We are going to REVERSE the traffic flow. The rest of this week will remain as it is. From Monday 11th September 2023 we will make the change.
So, on Monday, please be prepared to enter the school via the current exit gate. We will ensure the area is well staffed and provide guidance and clarity. We believe that reversing the traffic flow will have a significant impact on the traffic flow outside the school as school traffic enters and exits.
Safe entry and exit procedures are foundational to our mission of providing a secure and conducive learning environment. They safeguard the well-being of students, staff, and visitors, enhance traffic management, and reinforce the school's commitment to safety and community relations.
