Dear Parents/Guardians,

I hope this email finds you well. As part of our ongoing commitment to transparency and clarity in all aspects of school operations, we are pleased to introduce the Tuition and Fees Policy for the upcoming academic year 2024-25 at Cambridge Academy Ethiopia.

Definition and Purpose

The policy defines various fees associated with attending our school, including tuition fees, other fees, and their purposes. Tuition fees cover the cost of education, while other fees encompass expenses such as textbooks, uniforms, and transportation. The policy aims to adopt a clear and transparent approach to fees, outlining payment schedules and procedures to enable parents/guardians to pay fees conveniently and in a timely manner.

Key Policy Highlights

• Tuition Fee Schedule: The annual tuition fees for each year of study are outlined in the policy document. A 3% increase has been added to the tuition fee for the new year. To align all tuition fees some fees have been raised by more than 3% but this has been more than offset by a reduction in the Capital Levy for the affected students.

• Registration and Re-Registration Deposits: Deposits are required to secure a student's place at the school for both new and returning students. Re-registration should be concluded before the end of May 2024 to secure your school place.

• Capital Levy: This fee supports investments in physical infrastructure beyond the annual operating budget. The fees associated with Capital Levy are variable dependent upon the length your child has been with the school. Local (Ethiopian Students)

• Fees for Ethiopian Students are payable in Ethiopian Birr. However, we expect a proportion of fees from local students to be paid in USD. This insistence on a small proportion of fees in USD allows the school to manage its finances and commit the funds required to secure learning resources from international vendors and suppliers. Cambridge Academy Ethiopia is on a purposeful journey towards being a world-class school, we value and appreciate the contribution our parents are making in supporting this journey.

We encourage all parents/guardians to familiarize themselves with the Tuition and Fees Policy for the academic year 2024-25. Should you have any questions or require further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact the finance office.

Thank you for your continued support and cooperation as we strive to provide the best possible educational experience for our students at Cambridge Academy Ethiopia.

Warm regards,

Mark Whitfield

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We hope this email finds you well. We are excited to announce a special Mother's Day event taking place on Wednesday, 15th May that celebrates the wonderful mothers within our school community. We would like to invite all CAE mothers, grandmothers and aunts to join us for a morning of fun activities and togetherness.

Event Details:
Date: Wednesday, 15th May
Time: 07:30 - 09:00
Location: School Field and School Auditorium
Dress code: comfortable fitness wear with a touch of Netela ( Ethiopian Scarf)

Activities Planned:
We shall all assemble at the school field from 7:30 - 8:15. We hope to see you a little extra early that morning so we can have some great time together before children leave for their classes sharp at 8:15.

Wake-Up Shake-Up Dance Opportunity:
Get ready to start the day with energy and enthusiasm as we kick off the event with a lively Wake-Up Shake-Up dance session. It's a fantastic way to get moving, have fun, and celebrate the special bond between mothers and children.

8:15: Students go to class for the start of the day and mums move to the School Auditorium for Tea and Coffee:

Coffee and Tea and Get-Together: Following the dance session, we will gather for an informal coffee where you can connect with other mothers. It will be a relaxed and enjoyable time to socialize and celebrate the joys of motherhood. Dr Gemechis will be addressing the event!

Touch of Netela (Ethiopian Scarf): As a special addition to our event, we will be incorporating a touch of Netela, the traditional Ethiopian scarf. This represents the diversity within our school community and is an opportunity to learn about different cultures and traditions.

"Catch The Moment": during the event we shall have photographers 'catching' these moments.

We believe that this event will provide a wonderful opportunity for mothers to come together, share experiences, and create lasting memories. It's a time to recognize and appreciate the incredible love, care, and support that mothers provide.
