Please note that the school will officially close for the end of the first term on Friday, 13th December 2024, at 12:00 noon.

As the students take a well-deserved break over the December holidays, we hope this time provides them with opportunities to create cherished memories with family and friends. We would also like to wish you and your loved ones a season filled with joy, love, and the warmth of Christmas traditions.

The school will re-open for the second term on Monday, 13th January 2025, and we look forward to welcoming our students back with renewed enthusiasm and energy.

We wish you all a restful yet festive holiday season.

Yours sincerely,

Dear Parents,
I hope this message finds you and your family well.

As we approach Term 2, I wanted to share with you an important document that outlines key updates related to our school fees policy. The document attached explains the adjustments we are making to ensure continued access to the quality education Cambridge Academy Ethiopia is known for, while navigating the current economic challenges.

Here are the main highlights:
Sibling Discount Adjustment:
Enhanced discounts for the third and fourth children in a family for Term 2 fees paid by December 31, 2024.
Discounted Exchange Rate:
A fixed exchange rate of 100 ETB to 1 USD will apply to Term 2 and advanced Term 3 payments made by December 31, 2024.
Revised Payment Deadlines and Exchange Rates:
Payments after December 31, 2024, will incur adjusted exchange rates, as detailed in the attached briefing.
Important Deadline:
Tuition fees must be paid by January 31, 2025, to avoid student de-registration effective February 1, 2025.

We remain committed to transparency and supporting our families through these changes. Please take a moment to review the attached document for full details. Should you have any questions or need further assistance, feel free to contact our finance office.

Thank you for your understanding and ongoing support as we work together to provide a world-class education for your children.

Dear Parents & Guardians,

We appreciate your ongoing support and involvement in our school community. The PTSA elections will take place on Friday, February 14, at 2:30 PM in the school auditorium. As per ETA’s directives, at least 51% of parents must be present for the election to proceed, this was not met in the first round.

The PTSA plays a vital role in representing parents, supporting school initiatives, and enhancing the overall experience for our children. Without a properly elected PTSA, key decisions that impact students and families could be delayed. This is our opportunity to actively shape the school environment and ensure that parent voices are heard.

Your participation is important, and we encourage you to attend and make your voice count.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Kind regards,
Cambridge Academy Ethiopia
Dear Parents and Guardians,

We hope this email finds you well. As we continue to foster a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for our students, we kindly remind you of the importance of picking up your child on time after school.

To ensure the well-being of all students and the smooth operation of our school schedule, we ask that children be picked up no later than 4:00 PM on regular school days and no later than 4:40 PM on club days.

Timely pick-up is essential for:
Your child’s well-being – Long waiting can be stressful for students.
Respecting staff schedules – Be mindful of staff and teachers' time to complete assignments and get home in good time for their families.
Encouraging responsibility – Punctuality sets a great example for our students.

We kindly urge all parents and guardians to make the necessary arrangements to pick up their children within these times. If there are exceptional circumstances causing a delay, please inform the school in advance so we can assist accordingly.

Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to your child’s well-being. We appreciate your support in making our school a safe and organized space for everyone.

Warm regards,

Cambridge Academy Ethiopia

As per ETA’s directives, at least 51% of parents must be present for the election to proceed. Unfortunately, this requirement was not met in the first round, making your attendance even more crucial this time.

The PTSA plays a key role in advocating for parents, supporting school initiatives, and shaping a positive learning environment for our children. Without a properly elected PTSA, important decisions that impact students and families could face delays.

We strongly encourage you to attend and make your voice count. Your participation will help ensure that parent representation remains strong and effective.

Subject: Important Traffic Update for Drop-Off & Pick-Up

Dear CAE Parents/Guardians,

We hope you are doing well. We would like to inform you of ongoing infrastructure developments near the school that may impact traffic during drop-off and pick-up times.

During the half-term break, significant progress was made on the corridor development project, and a nearby road construction has resumed. While these improvements are beneficial, they may temporarily cause increased congestion. Please note that access from the back gate via the main road is currently restricted.

Accordingly, we kindly request your cooperation with the following:
Drop-off & Pick-up: Parents must drop off and pick up children in the designated safe areas outside the school. Primary parents should hand over students to CAE staff members wearing school lanyards.
Traffic Flow: Parents should not stop their cars for extended periods to avoid further congestion.
Student Responsibility: Middle and high school students are encouraged to assist younger siblings and support the school community.
Class Start Time: Flexibility will be considered based on traffic conditions.
We are working closely with authorities to restore access and will keep you updated. In the meantime, school staff will be stationed in key areas to assist students.

Our Students' safety is our top priority, and we appreciate your patience and cooperation. For any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Thank you for your support.

 Dear CAE Parents/Guardians,

Thank you for your cooperation at drop-off time. Students were able to get to the school compound with relative ease.

We would like to provide an important update regarding today’s pick-up arrangements in light of the ongoing road construction near the school.
The road under construction has been temporarily opened for limited hours exclusively for CAE parents to facilitate student pick-up outside of the compound. To ensure a smooth and safe process, please take note of the following guidelines:

Primary Parents: Please pick up your child/ren from respective quadrants quickly to allow for continuous traffic flow.

Sibling Pick-Up: Older siblings are encouraged to collect younger siblings to ease congestion from respective primary quadrants and immediately get into their vehicles.

Security & Staff Support: The security team and the entire primary and administrative team oversee a safe and organized student check-out. Please support the team by following the guidelines being given.

Traffic Flow: Parents are asked to pick up their child/ren as soon as possible and leave immediately to prevent traffic congestion.

We will modify the process according to the results of today's assessment.
We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring an efficient and safe dismissal process for all students. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Thank you for your support.

Join us tomorrow (Wed, March 19) at 7:45 AM sharp on the Football Field for a fun morning with your children.

Please be punctual as the students must begin classes on time after the session.

We’ll also hold the final PTSA Parent Election right after. Your presence and vote are essential!

Let’s energize the day and shape the future together.

Urgent Notice: Temporary Change in Pickup & Drop-off Arrangements

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Due to ongoing construction for the corridor project, the authorities have informed us that our car entry gate (next to the church) will temporarily not be accessible for pickup.

We understand the inconvenience this may cause, but student safety remains our top priority. As a result, no cars will be allowed inside the school compound for pickup.

To help ease congestion outside and speed up the pickup process:

• All students will be seated closer to the gate under teacher supervision, with class name signs clearly displayed for easy identification.

• Parents must carry their child’s student ID card as usual to ensure a smooth and quick pickup.

For morning drop-off tomorrow, if the situation still persists, we will follow the same procedure as at the beginning of the term. Students should be dropped off outside the gate, where school staff members will be present to welcome them.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation in ensuring a safe and organised process. Thank you for your understanding and support.

Best regards,

Cambridge Academy Ethiopia
