Arsenal pressure from the front is forcing us to play direct long balls and we expect Aubameyang to hold up play.
Azpilicueta and Cucurella have barely moved upfront to support the attack

Cucurella doing amazingly on 1v1 situations π considering the fact that Man City spotted weakness in that area and planned to take advantage by creating a 2v1 against Cucu with KDB overlapping .Good thing Marc is upto the task.
And why was Zakaria getting zero minutes since we signed him? Very Underrated.

We have been over run in midfield. Our guys have allowed to be rushed. Unexpected with both Kovacic and Zakaria. Maybe need to add more person to make it a three instead to provide outlay for receipt of passes

Our right- hand side is below par and too predictable, whenever Azpi gets the ball ,he doesn't know what to do with it and passes blindly because Mount is isolated
Defensively also an issue on that side ,can't believe a 33yr old Willian is doing more than our attackers (bar Felix)

He needs to put in a striker that can hold up play or fight upfront physically and technically on his own.. It can never be Havertz

Cucurella can't seem to find Mudryk runs at all ..bit of chemistry issue but atleast pass to him the first time
What shocks me is Mudryk has found Cucurella three times everytime he overlaps !

FireSide
THE POSITIVES & THE LESSONS
With the #INGAMEAnalysis, its clear I was enjoying the match from the start.. I think we wouldnt even have seen the fireside rant had the coach manned up and helped the team with demanding for atleast VAR check or had he done necessary substitutions instead of ranting at us about the opinions we have about Cucurela... To those who have followed firesides for a while know its about sobrierity... besides, English media is shit. They will never call out their own... so unless we rightly point goods and bads, we will live in a dark hole we can only realize how bad it is when we are too deep.
The game had lots of positive though:-
RLC Was better
Save for his usual self early on when he failed to pass the ball with clear chance in the box, he had a good game overall. He played the holding role better than any of his games I remember. Potter used his ball holding abilities well. The problem with this man is consistency. Seeing him today and seeing him tomorrow are always two different things all together. Several moments in the game he was doing his usual catwalks when the team needed him to defend too. But in terms of initiating plays through press breaks Potter was right.
Team Shape
Better shape better personnel. Failure was to address early the challenges like on the left where the goal came from. We cut most useless passing lanes from the third of our field to westhams final third. Westham is a difficult stadium. To go there and control and attack like we did deserved some shout out to potter.
Havertz was better
He is generally a mediocre player. But in this match there were some notable improvements in his general game play. Ofcourse the weird shots were there... but how he held possession without too much losses, how he fought with and without the ball, how he linked up play with physical presence was just better than the Havertz we are accustomed too. Especially with how physical Moyes teams are. But still not entirely a great game. No one knew how good Zakaria could be with all the initial potter benching. We can never know how good the Fofana kid is beyond our imaginations. The kid also deserves a shot.
Joao and Enzo are the Current poster boys
These two have found their feets early. They have the talent, they have the will to fight and they have the mentality. Joao looks worth the amount Atletico paid. Enzo is living his prize tag. They are enjoying their games. It will be very pricey to get Joao permenently.
THE LESSONS
Noni
is a better alternative to most of our wingers any day any time. his work rate his contribution and his movement to try and influence attacking play. but he needs to work on the movements on his right foot for him to be more unpredictable and more lethal. great improvements in terms of possesion lost from first game. But he can he a superstar for the dreams if he can work on his only big weakness.
Cucu Mudryk timeout
He needs time out to address whatever it is that is ailing him. When he is not in sync even players around him suffer more.
Mudryk involvement
0.4 touches/ minutes played was the lowest of all players that futured yesterday including mount 0.4 and ziyech 0.9 who had less minutes. 0.42 against fulham was no better. Yes there were flashes of brilliance with split passes inside the box but he needs to get himself involved more. He most importantly needs to work on his take on skills in a rather compact league. It took two seasons to be a top player at Shakhtar, at chelsea he will need to do it faster
Generally, Tactically we were not bad. The issue with this game was poor and delayed decision making from potter. Trying to be too nice wont accelerate desired and expected results in anyway. The split second decision is always the thin line between success and failure.
And Todd should stop those Lunches. More than creating the familyhood vibes, it gets the coach in some comfort zone that idiocy becomes the new normal. Let the man earn his moments with the bosses. Emma Hayes now deserves lunch and dates

Playin mostly in 4_5_1/4_1_4_1 shape without the ball, you may be tempted to think it's a defensive shape. But this has been used to emphasis close midfield support type of play with support from wing areas that has made them compact and fluid and attractive at the same time. But Dortmund inspite their run of wins don't play anything spectacular and can be easily contained and beaten.

Dortmund's numbers in midfield and speed in movement is seriously neutralising our midfield composure and link up play.

Whoever said that potters personality was "sitting down" like small Ancellotti, was very wrong. The man today is barking orders and throwing hands like a real coach. He was just in some weird comfort zone before. Today... Today is pressure day... And it's reflecting for the first time as we are playing with some sense of urgency
