Q: You have talked a lot about your Christian faith. How does that mesh with the Pentagon's announcement that they wish to livestream the firing squad execution of the Fort Hood shooter?

JD Vance: I don't know if that's actually going to happen. This guy committed the worst terrorist attack on American soil outside of 9/11.

If it's ultimately livestreamed, I am not going to be watching it.

Q: Eric Deters says Kimberly Guilfoyle asked him for $100,000 for access to Trump administration officials.

JD Vance: These are allegations. You don't take messages that people allegedly had or one person's story and reach a conclusion. I think that's absurd. Let's see what the facts are.

If there's something bad that happened, then people ought to suffer consequences.

JD Vance:

Democrats could have responded to Trump's landslide win in 2024 by saying, "You know what? We're going to moderate a little bit. We're not going to try to force women to playโ€”or men to play in women's sports. We're not going to try to force boys into the locker rooms with girls. We're going to maybe try to build some common-sense economic policies that promote prosperity."

Instead, what they've done is they've doubled down on cheap labor, they've doubled down on open borders, and they've doubled down on men in women's sports.

That's not how you appeal to people, it's certainly not how you govern a country.

We know that people are worried about affordability, and it's something we are laser-focused on fixing every single day.

Greece and Spain are resisting pressure from NATO and the EU to donate Patriot air defense missiles nearing expiration to Ukraine.

Greece holds at least 200 PAC-2 interceptors approaching the end of their 23-year shelf life, while Spain has pledged just five missiles.

Zelensky says Ukraine needs 300โ€“360 Patriot interceptors to defend against a feared Russian winter campaign targeting its energy infrastructure.

Elon Muskโ€™s SpaceX has agreed to buy radio spectrum licenses to expand Starlink Mobile, aiming to become a major U.S. mobile carrier.

The deal would allow Starlink to provide cellular coverage inside buildings by combining satellite connections with ground-based networks, potentially challenging traditional telecom providers.

The purchase still requires FCC approval, although the agency has already authorized Starlink to launch 15,000 satellites capable of connecting directly to mobile phones.

ICC President Tomoko Akane:

All of us must make a choice now between a world where might is right or a future based on the rule of law, where victims can continue to access justice.

In the face of such attacks, we cannot remain indifferent.

All of us have a legal and moral duty to act in defense of the international order. To stand up for law, not force.

We will be judged by history for the choices we make today.

ICC President Tomoko Akane:

Seeking to obstruct a court of law from fulfilling its judicial mandate is unacceptable.

It is an attack against sovereign states that have created the court. It is an attack against the international legal order more broadly.

It is an attack on the victims of mass atrocities who have waited years, sometimes decades, for those responsible to be held to account.

Every measure taken against the court is ultimately felt by those victims.

We are an independent and impartial judicial institution, and our actions are guided only by the law and evidence.

ICC President Tomoko Akane:

The court calls upon states to continue taking concrete actions, including to ensure that the court continues to have the necessary means to continue its work.

This is not just about defending a single institution, but about safeguarding the international order grounded upon the rule of law.

ICC President Tomoko Akane:

Let me be clear: the ICC does not yield to external threats that will only benefit those who commit the most serious crimes of concern to the international community.

Today, I reaffirm the court's steadfast commitment to discharging its mandate fully, with independence and impartiality, for the sake of victims.
