According to a June 3 tweet by renowned leaker Tom Henderson, the upcoming version of the popular Grand Theft Auto franchise may award players with cryptocurrency rather than cash for completing certain missions.
"I heard recently that in GTA 6, some missions will
reward you in bitcoin instead of cash for completing some missions."
Henderson also says the game would incorporate a broker for various cryptocurrencies, which he believes will be "huge" for the sector.
However, he clarified that in-game cryptocurrency is not expected to dubbed "Bitcoin", but rather "it will be a cryptocurrency."
While Henderson's statements should be taken with a dose of skepticism, it's worth noting that he is renowned in the gaming scene for his gaming leaks.

Just days after accepting Bitcoin as a legal tender, El Salvador is set to get another upgrade as Athena Bitcoin is planning a $1 million investment to install cryptocurrency ATMs in the nation.
The firm will also open an office and recruit staff.
President Nayib Bukele "presented us with a tough challenge of 1,500 ATMs, we will go for that, but in phases. We are a private company and we want to ensure that our development in the country is sustainable," said the firm's director for Latin America Matias Goldenhörn.
The development follows El Salvadors plans to power Bitcoin mining operations using Volcanic energy.
