Ethereum’s recent rally above $2000 has sparked the idea that the number one altcoin might actually be able to replace Bitcoin and steal the spot as the number one cryptocurrency.
1️⃣ Taking a look at the market we can see that the current Bull Run is much more sustainable compared to what we have seen over the past years.
2️⃣Besides just the market capitalization, other factors like the number of active addresses and the number of public reachable nodes have also been steadily climbing when compared to Bitcoin.
3️⃣According to Messari researcher Wilson Withum, Ethereum’s net annual issuance is expected to drop following the Phase 1.5 ETH 1 to ETH 2 merger.
4️⃣While Zap Protocol co-founder Nick Spanos expects ETH to become a deflationary asset as a result of the upcoming Ethereum Improvement Proposal (EIP) 1559 upgrade.
5️⃣“This feature will reduce the coin supply and have a corresponding effect on the price, creating an attraction point for more buyers,” Spanos explained.
6️⃣A supply shortage of Ethereum could soon make it a more attractive choice as an inflation hedge, compared to Bitcoin.
7️⃣Adding to this, Bitcoin’s dominance has also fallen below 50% for the first time since 2018. This further adds to case which would ultimately lead to the event which is commonly referred to as the Flippening.
8️⃣Considering all the factors, we can't argue this is definitely an exciting time in the history of cryptocurrencies!

The initiative aims to properly inform developers, data analysts, and cryptocurrency enthusiasts about the Polygon blockchain.
Google's BigQuery would provide simple and orderly querying and in-depth analysis of Polygon's on-chain data via the Google Cloud Platform.

Per recent data, the Eth2 deposit contract has more than 5.2 million staked ether worth over $13 billion locked into the smart contract.
Holders have locked a total of 5,210,370 ETH into the Beacon Chain contract.
On November 4, 2020, the contract was launched, and just three weeks later, it achieved the requisite threshold to activate the Beacon Chain.
Per Dune Analytics statistics the contract is 993.66% above the 524k threshold.
A user needs 32 ETH ( $85,000) to become a validator.
Out of the 108,461 transactions delivered to the Eth2 deposit contract, 27,100 were unique depositors.
As of May 30, approximately 152,261 validators are recorded.

SpaceX and SpaceChain have partnered to launch an Ethereum node into space.
SpaceChain verified in a Friday blog post that an Ethereum node has begun its flight on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket.
Australian digital asset management fund Nexus will be granted direct access after the node is connected to the International Space Station. The startup offers blockchain and IoT solutions for web-native clients.
“With Ethereum’s smart contract platform running in outer space, it enables us to fortify blockchain applications and transactions with enhanced security and immutability,” said Zee Zhang, SpaceChain’s co-founder, and CEO.
In the future the $ETH node will be available to others.
