Bitcoin mining giant Riot Platforms has fully repaid a $200 million credit facility from Coinbase Credit. The repayment, completed this Monday, was officially confirmed in a recent SEC filing.
By settling the remaining principal and interest, Riot has successfully released its collateral. This collateral previously consisted of a mix of Bitcoin, USDC, and cash held under the custody of Coinbase Custody Trust Company.
The company reported that no early termination fees or penalties were incurred during the prepayment process. This move significantly strengthens the miner's balance sheet and frees up its digital asset reserves.

A core part of the strategy involves repurposing Genesis Digital Assets (GDA), a major Bitcoin miner formerly backed by FTX and Alameda Research. SWI took control of GDA earlier this year and plans to rename it SWI Digital.
