All three proposals have cleared quorum, but a plan to slow new SOL creation is only narrowly passing while a separate vote to sharply increase token burns remains below the two-thirds support needed.

Solana has successfully reached its 300-millisecond slot target on the mainnet, significantly shortening the time between block production. This move follows a previous step to 350ms and aims for an eventual 200ms endpoint to increase network efficiency.
The faster speed is designed to protect liquidity providers (LPs) from arbitrage bots. By updating prices more frequently, AMM pools reduce the window where bots can exploit outdated prices against external markets. Research suggests this keeps more value within the pools rather than losing it to extraction bots.
Validator developer Anza has scheduled the Agave v4.3 upgrade for late September, with general adoption targeted for Sept. 21. While the speed boost helps traders, it increases operational costs for validators who must submit more frequent on-chain votes.
