COVID-19 Lockdown ന്‍റെ പശ്ചാത്തലത്തില്‍ ഡ്രോണ്‍ ഉപയോഗിച്ച് കേരള പോലീസ് സംസ്ഥാന വ്യാപകമായി നടത്തുന്ന നിരീക്ഷണം "Operation Eagle_Eye" സംസ്ഥാന പോലീസ് മേധാവി ലോക്നാഥ് ബെഹ്റ തിരുവനന്തപുരത്ത് അവലോകനം ചെയ്തു.

നിയന്ത്രണങ്ങള്‍ മറികടന്ന് പുറത്തിറങ്ങുന്നവരെ കണ്ടെത്തുന്നതിനാണ് കഴിഞ്ഞ ഏതാനും ദിവസമായി പോലീസ് ഡ്രോണ്‍ ഉപയോഗിച്ചുവരുന്നത്. ജനം കൂട്ടംകൂടുന്നതും വാഹനങ്ങളുടെ നീക്കവും മനസിലാക്കാന്‍ ഡ്രോണില്‍ നിന്നുളള ദൃശ്യങ്ങള്‍ പോലീസിന് ഏറെ സഹായകമായി. സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ തീരദേശങ്ങളുടെ നിരീക്ഷണത്തിനും ഡ്രോണ്‍ ഉപയോഗിച്ചുവരുന്നു.

കേരള പോലീസ് സൈബര്‍ ഡോമിന്‍റെ നേതൃത്വത്തില്‍ വിവിധ ഡ്രോണ്‍ അസോസിയേഷനുകളുമായി ചേര്‍ന്നാണ് നിരീക്ഷണം നടത്തുന്നത്. 300 ല്‍ പരം ഡ്രോണുകളാണ് ഇതിനായി പോലീസ് ഉപയോഗിച്ചു വരുന്നത്.

Cybercriminals are attempting to lockout hospitals out of critical systems by attempting to deploy ransomware on their networks during the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak.
These ransomware appears to be spreading primarily via e-mails —often falsely claiming to contain information or advice regarding the coronavirus from a government agency, which encourages the recipient to click on an infected link or attachments.

Cyberdome recommends hospitals and healthcare organisations to always keep their software and hardware up to date, and to back up their data onto offline storage devices to block potential attacks from reaching them.

Hospitals and other organizations targeted by ransomware attacks are advised to take the following measures to protect systems-

• Only open emails or download software/applications from trusted sources.
• Do not click on links or open attachments in emails which you were not expecting to receive, or come from an unknown sender.
• Secure email systems to protect from spam which could be infected.
• Backup all important files frequently, and store them independently from your system (e.g. in the cloud, on an external drive).
• Ensure you have the latest anti-virus software installed on all systems and mobile devices, and that it is constantly running.
• Use strong, unique passwords for all systems, and update them regularly.

The Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has issued an advisory on secure use of Zoom meeting platform by private individuals. These guidelines have been issued to safeguard private individuals who would still like to use this platform for private purposes. The broad objective of this advisory is to prevent any unauthorized entry into Zoom conference room and prevent unauthorized participants to carryout malicious attack on the terminals of other users in the conference. MHA also clarifies that this platform is not for use by Government officers/officials for official purposes.
