IIT Delhi researchers develop India’s first indigenously designed micro-GPU.

The micro-GPU architecture will enable indigenous graphics & display systems for embedded applications.

Led by MTech students Nammi Akash & M. Ravi Teja under Prof. Jayadeva & Prof. Kaushik Saha (EE Dept), it demonstrates programmable graphics rendering on a custom floating-point GPU engine (RTL → Spartan-7 FPGA).“This is the first working, demonstrable indigenously designed micro-GPU from a university in India,” the team stated.

Suitable for industrial displays, low-cost HMIs, e-rickshaw navigators, fishing boat terminals, e-book readers & more. Scalable IP, can target ASIC/FPGA.

Next: 8–16 core vector architecture + toolchain, aiming for 65nm ASIC proof-of-concept.

The surge, led by diesel shipments, rose to 81,000 barrels per day, or b/d, in July and 41,800 b/d in August from zero in May and June.

Overall, exports of clean petroleum products, including diesel, petrol and jet fuel, rose to around 126,400 b/d in July and 137,200 b/d in August.

The Technology Development Board (TDB) has approved ₹63.84 crore in funding for Bengaluru’s GalaxEye Space to build a high-resolution multisensor satellite. Part of a ₹247.69 crore project, this RDI Fund backing will take their technology to full operational deployment (TRL-6 to TRL-9).

The satellite features proprietary OptoSAR tech, combining Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and optical imaging. This allows for high-res, all-weather, day-and-night Earth observation through cloud cover, greatly boosting India's strategic surveillance and target tracking capabilities.
