After the NEET paper leak controversy, the Centre has directed all ministries to set up Quick Response Teams(QRT) to detect and counter fake news on social media within 2 hours, with replies limited to 200 words and tailored to platforms like Instagram and YouTube using memes, videos and graphics, best suited to communicate to Citizen.

The I&B Ministry will train QRTs within a week and provide support, and officials said if fake content is posted on platforms like Instagram or YouTube, the response should ideally also be in a video format to match the platform and maximize reach and also push messaging on policies like E20 fuel. #Misinformation
