Indian Railways will reject entire lots of freight components if RDSO-mandated markings are missing, incomplete or illegible, after failures left manufacturers untraceable. Checks will cover couplers, draft gears, brake blocks, air-brake gear, springs, bogies and wear plates at receipt, fitment and overhaul.
