I find it astonishing how quickly the GLP-1 drugs like Ozempic and Wegovy are being incorporated into mainstream medicine. It really shouldn't surprise me at this point, because of the money it makes Big Pharma, but the pace is simply astonishing.
For example, the state of Missouri lists Wegovy as a top tier 1 medication that is 100% paid for by Medicaid. Now, they want to make treating patients with schizophrenia part of the GLP-1 regime. Why? Because their meds cause notorious metabolic issues, so hey, put them on a GLP-1 to counteract the metabolic risk.
This is not a good trend. We should not use GLP-1 medication to counteract medication side effects.

Prince Charles will not release an Easter message this weekend. This is the head of the Church of England. The man crowned in a Christian ceremony, in a Christian cathedral, under a Christian God.
He did release a message for the Muslim holiday Ramadan in February. Hmmm...go figure.
It's amazing that the English monarch has no acknowledgment of the holiest day in the Christian calendar, from the man who holds the title Defender of the Faith.
But he was all ears (no pun intended) earlier this year for the ”Ramadan Mubarak” message that he gave on Shrove Tuesday, one of Christianity’s own days of reflection, complete with Arabic text and a formal greeting to Muslims across the country.
Last Easter Charles praised Islam for ”caring for the stranger and those in need” before he’d even finished explaining what Easter actually means.
Christianity built Britain. Its cathedrals, its laws, its calendar, its conscience. The silence this Easter says more than any speech could.

Remember when the Trans Day of Visibility was on Easter Sunday in 2024? This day falls on March 31 each year and that year it happened to fall on Easter Sunday. Biden's White House made the most of it. It was a debacle and it backfired big time.

Why did 30 members of Congress just go to Scotland? Must be nice. Guess what? It was an official Congressional delegation, so WE paid for it. Recall that our hard-working federal employees at the Department of Homeland Security are going without full paychecks amid this partial government shutdown.
