Pentecost Sunday is a major Christian holiday celebrated 50 days after Easter. The largely forgotten day commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and other followers of Jesus, giving them the ability to speak in different languages. Widely recognized as the "birthday of the Christian church," this event empowered the disciples to begin spreading the Gospel.

Acts 2: 3-4 talks about Pentecost Sunday.
"3 They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues[a] as the Spirit enabled them."

Alaska's Senate has passed HB 1 by 19 votes to 1, recognizing gold & silver as legal tender and exempting transactions from local sales taxes. The bill now heads to the governor.

The bill does not compel individuals or businesses to accept or use silver and gold as currency, preserving voluntary transactional choice.
