⠀Webcore mainly exists for the sake of nostalgia
for the late 1990s and early 2000s internet
culture and includes GIFs, video games, and
clip-art. Webcore images and gifs mainly come
from archived Geocities websites made by
amateur coders and animators meaning that
the old web graphics resulted in images being
a bit rough around the edges. Some aspects of
the webcore aesthetic include harsh website
design choices, clunky animations, and pixel art.
