On the first day of each lunar month, it is recommended to perform a two rak'at prayer as follows:

1⃣ 1st rak'at:
Surah al-Hamd: Once
Surah al-Tawhid: 30 times

2⃣ 2nd rak'at:
Surah al-Hamd: Once
Surah al-Qadr: 30 times

After the prayer, one should give sadaqah. By doing so, they can secure their health from Almighty Allah during that month.

In some hadiths, it is stated that one should recite the following supplication after the prayer:

▪️بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحيمِ، وَما مِنْ دابَّة فِی الاَْرْضِ الاّ عَلَی اللهِ رِزْقُها، وَيَعْلَمُ مُسْتَقَرَّها وَ مُسْتَوْدَعَها، كُلٌّ فی كِتابِِ مُبين.

▪️بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحيمِ، وَاِنْ يَمْسَسْكَ اللهُ بِضُرٍّ فَلا كاشِفَ لَهُ اِلاّ هُوَ، وَاِنْ يُرِدْكَ بِخَيْر فَلا رادَّ لِفَضْلِهِ، يُصيبُ بِهِ مَنْ يَشآءُ مِنْ عِبادِهِ و َهُوَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحيمُ.

▪️بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحيمِ، سَيَجْعَلُ اللهُ بَعْدَ عُسْر يُسْراً، ما شآءَ اللهُ لا قُوَّةَ اِلاّ بِاللهِ، حَسْبُنَا اللهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكيلُ، وَاُفَوِّضُ اَمْري اِلَی اللهِ، اِنَّ اللهَ بَصيرٌ بِالْعِبادِ، لا اِلـهَ اِلاّ اَنْتَ، سُبْحانَكَ اِنّی كُنْتُ مِنْ الظّالِمينَ، رَبِّ اِنّی لِما اَنْزَلْتَ اِلَیَّ مِنْ خَيْر فَقيرٌ، رَبِّ لا تـَذَرْنی فَرْداً وَاَنْتَ خَيْرُ الْوارِثينَ.

Whoever recites Surah "Waqi'ah" on Thursday night, God will love him and will make all people love him. Such a person will not suffer from misery and poverty in this life, will not be afflicted by any of the world's tribulations, and will be regarded as friends of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him). This surah is special to Amir al-Mu'minin (peace be upon him).
