Manchester United are prepared to listen to offers for Romelu Lukaku this summer, with the Belgium striker open to a move away from Old Trafford. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is gearing up for what he has promised will be a “ruthless” overhaul and Lukaku could be one of those who makes way but only if an acceptable bid was forthcoming. Inter Milan, Paris St-Germain and Bayern Munich are believed to be among the clubs who have been sounded out about the striker.Barring Bayern thinking it would be worthwhile to bring Lukaku in as an expensive back-up to Robert Lewandowski, this one seems a little far-fetched. Report: Bayern Munich monitoring Fiorentina winger Federico Chiesa
MediaHowever, Juventus are considered the front-runners in the race.Due to the imminent departures of Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery, Bayern Munich have been linked to a lot of wingers lately. The latest suspect — Fiorentina’s Federico Chiesa. The Bavarians are said to be monitoring him, but Juventus are considered front-runners for the winger’s signature. Inter Milan are also in the race. The info comes from a tweet by La Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Nicolo Schira, who tweeted this:Gli occhi del #BayernMünchen su Federico #Chiesa: gli scout bavaresi l'hanno già visionato e promosso da tempo. In pole per l'esterno offensivo resta, però, la #Juventus, con l'#Inter sempre in vigile. Valutazione della #Fiorentina: 80 milioni. #calciomercato— Nicolò Schira (@NicoSchira) April 20, 2019Schira says that Bayern Munich are watching Federico Chiesa, and have scouted him for some time. Juventus are considered in pole position for the winger, and Inter are also interested. Fiorentina wants 80m for the player.Eighty million euros seems like a steep price for a player who has the offensive output of Thorgan Hazard, although granted Chiesa is just 21 years old. However, our friends over at Black and White and Read All Over say that the report isn’t the most reliable, and we should heed their words and take it with a grain of salt. It’s become a trend in the media to link Bayern with wingers across the continent. Journalist Nicolò Schira, who works for calciomercato and Gazzetta dello Sport noted that Bayern had been scouting Chiesa for some time, along with Juventus, which he considers to be in “pole position” to sign the attacker. The latest report from Corriere dello sport elaborated further on Bayern’s alleged interest:Federico Chiesa is the first wish of the director of the technical area [i.e. sporting director], Fabio Paratici. Juve has been working for some time to pry him away from Fiorentina (but the Viola hope to resist them) and to preempt very fierce competition, both Italian (Inter, Napoli, Roma) and foreign (Bayern Munich, Liverpool). Bayern in particular has launched a serious offensive in the past few hours, of €70 million.Bayern’s bid would fall €10m below that Schira reported to be Fiorentina’s asking price of €80m. Presuming the offer is genuine, it remains to be seen whether Bayern might raise its bid if one or more of the other teams said to be competing for Chiesa offers more.Chiesa plays predominantly as a right winger for Fiorentina. He thus would conceivably be Serge Gnabry’s battery-mate in that position at Bayern, filling the spot on the roster soon to be vacated by club legend Arjen Robben. Chiesa is in the midst of a good season for Fiorentina. Just 21 years old, he has scored 12 goals and assisted 8 others across competitions, playing just over 2,900 minutes this season. Chiesa’s overall numbers in Serie A and the Coppa Italia are interesting: he has scored half of his goals (6) and one assist in just three Coppa Italia games: 2 against FC Turin, a hat-trick in a 7-1 victory over Roma, and a goal and an assist in the 3-3 semifinal draw against Atalanta Bergamo. Chiesa’s bounty from his 32 league games is somewhat less imposing in comparison: six goals and six assists in 2,646 minutes.Chiesa is nonetheless…

Chiesa, one of the stars of Italy’s European Championship triumph in 2021, had a difficult season after returning from an anterior cruciate ligament injury which kept him out of action for nearly 10 months. And Il Corriere dello Sport claim he is open to the idea of joining a new club as he no longer feels ‘centre of the project’ in Turin. Liverpool have been watching the player closely for some time while Newcastle United and Bayern have registered their interest more recently. The Italian paper says that Juve have set an asking price of £38m but they will no doubt be hoping to initiate a bidding war between the three clubs. As it stands, with Kingsley Coman, Leroy Sane, Serge Gnabry, and Sadio Mane on the roster, Bayern Munich does not need another winger. However, if (huge if) Bayern Munich is truly looking to sell Mane, Sane, and Gnabry (or any combination or number of the three), then you would have a hell of a time finding a better value for a winger on this roster. Before his knee injury, Chiesa was nothing short of electric. With his rehab being handled by Juventus, however, it is debatable is the Italy international got all of the requisite patience and care that was needed. Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg later tweeted out information discounting the rumor, but it extremely hard to discern what information is fake and what is real flowing from Bayern Munich these days: News #Chiesa: No transfer target for FC Bayern! Atléti, Napoli eyeing Goretzka (Süddeutsche Zeitung via @iMiaSanMia)According to multiple reports, a few different clubs are interested in Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka — Atlético Madrid and Napoli: Leon Goretzka’s name is ‘at least being considered’ at Atlético Madrid and Napoli.Bild (via @iMiaSanMia) also confirmed that Atlético Madrid’s interest in Goretzka: @BILD confirms that Atlético Madrid are keen on Leon Goretzka and have him on their list. But it’s questionable whether the midfielder would actually leave Bayern for the Spanish side. The situation surrounding Goretzka is fascinating. It seems as if Bayern Munich has made it clear that it is not planning with him, but the 29-year-old seems unfazed. Goretzka seems to genuinely love the club and his teammates and is also willing to fight odds in hopes of locking down a key role on the squad. FC Bayern München v TSG 1899 Hoffenheim - Bundesliga Photo by Sebastian Widmann/Getty Images Bayern Munich seems to have won the race for Tom Bischof... Bischof rejected Gunners, among others in favor of Bayern (TBR Football)All signs are pointing to Hoffenheim central midfielder Tom Bischof joining Bayern Munich this summer on a free transfer. In order for Bischof to get to this point he had to walk away from clubs like Eintracht Frankfurt and RB Leipzig. Did he get any interest from big clubs, abroad, though? Yes, several Premier League teams wanted Bischof, including Arsenal FC, Aston Villa, and Newcastle United:TBR Football can exclusively reveal that Tom Bischof rejected a number of Premier League clubs, including Arsenal as he is set to sign for Bayern Munich in the summer of 2025.Bischof is one of the most talented young midfielders in Germany, who is capable of playing in various positions in the middle of the park.TBR Football’s chief correspondent Graeme Bailey understands that Arsenal, Aston Villa, Newcastle United, West Ham United, Brighton & Hove Albion and Brentford expressed an interest in signing Bischof. The German U-18 international’s representatives heard approached from clubs in England and across Europe even before he agreed terms to sign for Bayern. However, TBR Football understands that the prospect of playing for the German giants was too tempting for the youngster to decline.Bischof, whose contract at Hoffenheim expires at the end of the season could now join Jamal Musiala, who held talks with Arsenal and Aleksandar Pavlovic to form a youthful midfield at the Allianz Arena. If you want one reason to be a little cautious (not much), kicker is reporting that the agreement is not final, despite Sky Sport and Bild both confirming that the deal is done (via @iMiaSanMia_GER): Tom Bischof’s looming move to FC Bayern Munich is not yet complete, but during the week following the Bayern game on Wednesday, Bischof informed TSG Hoffenheim of his decision not to extend his contract, which expires in the summer.Chiesa no intention of leaving LFC (@Plettigoal)Federico Chiesa seems like he wants to stick it out at Liverpool FC: At this stage Federico #Chiesa still has no intention of leaving Liverpool until the Deadline Day on February 3.
