FC Bayern Munich Training Session Photo by R. Mitterer/FC Bayern via Getty Images Bayern Munich needs to get healthy... Bayern Munich held a public training session today, but there were not many improvements on the status of injured players for the Bavarians. Leon Goretzka did not take part in the practice session due to ongoing back issues and Kingsley Coman is still being bothered by the ailing foot injury that he sustained just before the international break: Public training session at Säbener Straße today. The noise was so loud that a security guard rushed to stop them from disrupting the training session. The troublemakers then ran away.Min-jae misses trainingKim Min-jae did not attend today’s training session. FC Bayern München v Bayer 04 Leverkusen - UEFA Champions League 2024/25 Round of 16 First Leg Photo by Alex Grimm/Getty Images Well, this certainly blows... Bayern Munich is currently dealing with a wave of injuries. Key players such as Dayot Upamecano and Alphonso Davies are sidelined for the remainder of the season, while others, including Manuel Neuer and Jamal Musiala, are working hard to return in time for the crucial final stretch of the season.Per a report by Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), if Bayern Munich fans were expecting captain goalkeeper Manuel Neuer to make a comeback against Inter Milan in the UCL, they should not get their hopes up.“Manuel Neuer will definitely miss Wednesday’s game against Inter. Jonas Urbig will start in goal again. Neuer tried to get fit in time but wasn’t able to do training involving his injured calf. The captain will now take the next steps in the coming days and hopefully return to the team soon. He remains a doubt for Heidenheim this weekend, but he’d certainly be back for a possible Champions League semifinal at the end of April/beginning of May,” [Bild via @iMiaSanMia].Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg also confirmed the news via X: ❌ Manuel #Neuer will miss the second leg vs Inter due to a muscle fibre tear in his right calf. It’s decided. As also via BILD.

Jonas #Urbig will start again – his 9th appearance for Bayern. #INTFCB

Neuer continues his individual rehab. A return against Mainz on April 26… pic.twitter.com/LhU7sukpbK— Florian Plettenberg (@Plettigoal) April 14, 2025Given the experience and presence of Bayern’s captain, Neuer’s absence is a blow for the Bavarians, who will be expecting youngster Jonas Urbig to step up his game on Wednesday evening.
