This means that Bayern Munich’s game against Chelsea at the Allianz Arena, which was supposed to go ahead behind closed doors, is now postponed.This comes after UEFA held a video conference meeting on Thursday consisting of the representatives of 55 member associations, boards of European Club association and the European leagues, as well as a representative of FIFPro.In the light of developments due to the spread of COVID-19 in Europe and related decisions made by different governments, all UEFA club competitions matches scheduled next week are postponed. #UCL and #UEL quarter-final draws have also been postponed.

Now after Matchday 23, they sit at 6th in the table with a 15 point gap behind the leaders. The team has imploded, so why has this happened?Back on December 15th, I did a piece looking at an <a href="https://www.bavarianfootballworks.com/2020/12/15/22173056/bayern-munich-bundesliga-xgoals-bayern-munich-borussia-dortmund-rb-leipzig-bayer-leverkusen">xGoals analysis of each team</a>. At that time, Leverkusen was undefeated on the season and led the league. At the time, I speculated that Bayer Leverkusen was actually overperforming their skill level, and deserved to be sitting at about 5th in the table. As expected, many teams have gradually regressed to where they should sit, and Leverkusen has been no exception.Since the start of 2021, Bayer Leverkusen has won just two domestic matches and has had some pretty startling results. They have dropped points to sides fighting to avoid relegation such as FC Augsburg, Werder Bremen, and Mainz 05.
