SALT LAKE CITY, Utah
A number of roads were closed Saturday morning following reports of an explosion near 300 South Main Street.
Salt Lake City Fire says there are known power outages along 400 South, and Hazmat crews are on scene due to gasses being found at the scene.
Main Street is currently closed from 200 South to 500 South, while 400 South is closed from West Temple to State Street.
The public is advised to avoid the area as crews work to secure the scene.

Rare earth metals are not rare.
The issue is the smelters and refineries to make the finished rare earth metals from the raw ore.
It has been impossible for over 40 years to build these types of industries in Europe, the USA or anywhere except China.
So China built them and now it doesn’t matter where the ore is, 90% of the refineries and smelters are in China so the raw ore has to go to China. So China controls the finished rare earth metals.
The west over regulated and gave away a strategic industry.
