As part of the ongoing #SpecialCampaign5.0, the Ministry of Education has created new benchmarks in cleanliness through innovative & sustainable initiatives across institutions. The campaign has profiled best practices adopted by different institutions .
Institutions under the Ministry continue to strengthen the campaign through innovative and sustainable initiatives:
🔹 Waste to Art initiative by IGNOU: Refurbishing an old Ambassador car and creating a horse statue from obsolete metal waste — symbolizing creative reuse and sustainability.
🔹 IIM Shillong: Promoting environmental responsibility through a paper shredding and recycling initiative that enhances the circular economy and optimizes office spaces.
🔹 Srinath University, Jamshedpur: Conducted a cleanliness drive at the Domuhani River Bank, ensuring a cleaner environment post idol immersion and spreading awareness on sustainable waste management.
🔹 Manipur University: Cleared and recycled 32 extra-large garbage bags, effectively utilizing space freed during the campaign.
