This cross-sectional study investigates security of firearm storage among older adults with subjective cognitive decline.
Which Nudges Matter Most for Scalable Influenza Vaccination?
https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamainternalmedicine/fullarticle/2848053

To the Editor Mehta and colleagues report the results of the BE IMMUNE randomized clinical trial, demonstrating that a multicomponent nudge intervention modestly but significantly increased influenza vaccination during primary care visits among adults 50 years and older. The trial’s pragmatic design, large scale, and reliance on routinely deployable electronic health record tools make the findings highly relevant for health systems seeking scalable strategies to improve preventive care delivery.
Which Nudges Matter Most for Scalable Influenza Vaccination?—Reply
https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamainternalmedicine/fullarticle/2848052

In Reply We wish to thank Lv and colleagues for their thoughtful letter, which confirms the many strengths of our study, including the multisite, pragmatic randomized clinical trial design that embedded a multicomponent nudge within the electronic health record. We wish to emphasize, however, that we cannot isolate the effect of the clinician nudges from the standard text message intervention.
Hepatitis B: A Review
https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2848693

This review discusses current evidence on the epidemiology, virology, pathogenesis, clinical presentation, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of hepatitis B virus infection, with a focus on evidence applicable to clinical practice.
Pure Autonomic Failure and Central Synucleinopathy Risk
https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamaneurology/fullarticle/2848692

α-Synucleinopathies are a group of neurodegenerative diseases characterized by pathological deposition of phosphorylated α-synuclein in neurons and/or glia. The deposition is associated with neurodegeneration that results in clinical features that include parkinsonism, ataxia, autonomic dysfunction, and cognitive impairment. These features, which manifest in varying combinations, are the basis of the specific disease phenotypes, Parkinson disease (PD), dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB), multiple system atrophy (MSA), and pure autonomic failure (PAF).
Cortical Temporal Stroke Presenting With Delayed Hemichorea-Dystonia
https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamaneurology/fullarticle/2848691

This case report describes delayed hemichorea-dystonia following right carotid endarterectomy for proximal internal carotid artery stenosis in a 79-year-old man.
Precision Antisense Oligonucleotide Therapy Amenability for Infantile Genetic Epilepsies
https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamaneurology/fullarticle/2848690

This study evaluates the proportion of established antisense oligonucleotides (ASO) assessment guidelines that are amenable to ASO therapy approaches for genetically diagnosed infants.

Phenoconversion in Pure Autonomic Failure
https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamaneurology/fullarticle/2848689

This systematic review and meta-analysis investigates the incidence rate and predictors of phenoconversion to central α-synucleinopathies in pure autonomic failure.
Error in Open Access Status
https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamacardiology/fullarticle/2848184

The Original Investigation titled “Semaglutide and Hospitalizations in Patients With Obesity and Established Cardiovascular Disease,” published on December 23, 2025, was corrected to fix the open access status; the open access license is CC-BY-NC-ND. This article was corrected online.
Treatment of Anterior Cruciate Ligament Rupture
https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2848670

This JAMA Insights examines the efficacy of different management strategies for anterior cruciate ligament rupture, including surgical reconstruction and structured rehabilitation.
Patient Support Following Post–Intensive Care Syndrome
https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2848669

To the Editor A recent article provided a clear and clinically useful overview of post–intensive care syndrome (PICS), emphasizing physical, cognitive, and psychological sequelae; early screening; and multidisciplinary follow-up. However, we contend that the proposed framework of PICS underrepresents spiritual distress and bereavement—domains that may meaningfully shape recovery trajectories for both patients and families after critical illness. As PICS is framed as a conceptual construct rather than a diagnosis, we believe there is an opportunity to broaden its scope to intentionally include spiritual and bereavement-related dimensions that shape recovery and long-term well-being.
Patient Support Following Post–Intensive Care Syndrome

To the Editor A recent article on PICS provided an excellent synthesis of the cognitive and emotional difficulties experienced by ICU survivors.
Intra-arterial Alteplase After Thrombectomy for Acute Ischemic Stroke
https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2848750

In patients with acute ischemic stroke undergoing endovascular thrombectomy, guidelines recommend achieving near-complete or complete reperfusion (defined as an expanded Thrombolysis in Cerebral Infarction score of 2c or 3) whenever safely achievable. Yet even after successful recanalization of the target vessel, many patients do not have excellent functional outcomes, raising the question whether macrovascular patency fully reflects the adequacy of tissue-level reperfusion.
Promoting Clinical Expertise in the Age of AI
https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2848742

This Viewpoint discusses how overreliance on artificial intelligence (AI) can lead to deskilling and mis-skilling among clinicians still in training and the importance of thoughtful design and implementation into the clinical learning environment.
One-Year Mortality Among Opioid Overdose Survivors
https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2848748

This study uses Canadian administrative data to evaluate 1-year mortality among opioid overdose survivors in Ontario, Canada, and characterize postoverdose mortality risk after the widespread availability of fentanyl.
Intravenous Tenecteplase Prior to Endovascular Treatment for Ischemic Stroke
https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2848807

This phase 3 randomized superiority trial conducted in China assesses the adverse events and efficacy of tenecteplase prior to endovascular treatment (EVT), vs EVT alone, in patients 4.5 to 24 hours after onset of ischemic stroke due to proximal middle cerebral artery occlusion.
