Grumbling is deeply devilish, contentment is deeply God-like.
Believer,
The veil is still torn.
The grave is still empty.
The throne of Heaven is still occupied.
The blood of Jesus still cleanses.
The gates of hell still wonβt prevail.
The promises of God are all still true.
You are still His.
Today and always, rejoice.
Soli Deo gloria!

Stay on the path. This world will try to dissuade you. Don't get distracted with trappings of sin, petty things, silly arguments, and things that don't matter in the long run. Keep seeking and trusting God, advance His Kingdom, and keep your eyes on Jesus Christ.

The world invites you to celebrate every form of sexual perversion. Scripture commands us to keep our bodies pure as temples of the Holy Spirit.
Turn away from the traps of lust and find your satisfaction in Jesus alone.

βBefore we can begin to see the cross as something done for us, we have to see it as something done by us.β βJohn Stott
Hell was prepared for the devil and his fallen angels, yet countless humans march toward it willingly. They cling tightly to their self-righteousness while ignoring the cross of Christ.
Don't let that be you.
Don't let that be you.
I am so tired of sin. I grieve over our sin or anyone's sin. But good news is...one day sin will be no more. I long for that day!

β¨ Week 4: Investing in Eternity
ποΈ Q1 Commentary: The Uncrackable Vault of Heaven
π― Correct Answer: C
β’ π The Scriptural Blueprint: Matthew 6:20 (ESV) commands, βbut lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.β
β’ π‘ The Theological Insight: Expository precision strips away any confidence in earthly investments. Material wealth carries the structural certainty of devaluation, rot, and vulnerability. Jesus uses the precise layout of three distinct vulnerabilitiesβmoth (internal corruption of organic matter), rust (corrosive decay of metallurgy), and thieves (external structural violation)βto expose the bankruptcy of temporal portfolios. In contrast, heavenly treasure is impervious because it is anchored in the unshakeable reality of God's sovereign domain.
β’ β οΈ Strategy Breakdown: Option A masterfully imports authentic Pauline language from 1 Peter 1:4 regarding an inheritance that cannot fade, setting an excellent trap for those relying on abstract cross-references rather than Christ's literal text in Matthew 6.
β‘ Prophetic Proclamation:
The sands of the 45-minute decree are slipping away! Will you watch your earthly portfolio rust while standing paralyzed at the gate of eternity? Cast your vote, smash the complacency of the bystander, and align with the text before the truth is revealed!

π Q2 Commentary: Perpetuating Perishable Wealth into Eternal Portfolios
π― Correct Answer: A
β’ π The Scriptural Blueprint: Luke 16:9 (ESV) commands, βAnd I tell you, make friends for yourselves by means of unrighteous wealth, so that when it fails they may receive you into the eternal dwellings.β
β’ π‘ The Theological Insight: In sound doctrine, this difficult parable does not endorse financial dishonesty, but commends far-sighted preparation. Jesus demands that believers execute a holy strategic foresight with their material assets. Earthly currency carries a 100% systemic failure rateβit will fail at the grave. True biblical stewardship means deploying temporal resources to fund gospel advancement, converting worldly wealth into eternal relational results that await you in the eternal dwellings.

October 23: The Time, Space, and Money Continuum
#Devotional
Ezekiel 45:1β46:24; Revelation 22:1β21; Job 39:11β23
When we think of setting things apart for God, we usually think of money first. But what about our time or even a place? Ezekiel 45:1 speaks of setting aside land for God: βAnd when you allocate the land as an inheritance, you shall provide a contribution for Yahweh as a holy portion from the land, its length being twenty-five thousand cubits and its width ten thousand cubits; it is holy in all its territory, all aroundβ (Ezek 45:1).
Weβre comfortable with the idea of donating money; we recognize that others need our help and our churches need our support. But there are other reasons for giving. Giving itself is a righteous and perhaps sacred act. It forces us to acknowledge that all we have belongs to GodβHe is the provider. Giving puts us in right standing before God in a powerful way.
Similarly, allocating time and space to God helps us understand our place before Him. When we designate a particular time for God, or a particular place for meeting Himβsuch as a prayer room or a particular chair to sit in when we prayβwe acknowledge that He deserves a special place in our lives.
Like giving, setting aside these times and places can help us glimpse what our relationship with God is meant to be. It gives us an opportunity to envision a better future fueled by a relationship with God. It gives us the energy (and the reminder) we need to follow Godβs will. Giving helps us see how things can and will be (e.g., Rev 22:1β3).
What should you set apart for God?

October 23 - Physical Resurrection
#LifeOfChrist
ββDo not marvel at this; for an hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs will hear His voice, and will come forth; those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgmentββ (John 5:28β29).
The unbelieving Jews were astonished and outraged at Jesusβ bold claim to be the giver of spiritual life and the ultimate judge of all men. But then Jesus revealed another truth that astounded them: He would one day raise the dead from their graves. As He did with the spiritual resurrection (v. 25), Jesus said that the hour of physical resurrection is coming. The resurrection of βall who are in the tombsβ is still future. At that time, the souls of the righteous dead, now in heaven with the Lord (2 Cor. 5:6β8), and of the wicked dead, now in torment in Hades (Luke 16:22β23), will be given resurrected bodies fit for eternity.
The final resurrection will usher believers into the glories of eternal life, and bring unbelievers to the endless suffering of eternal judgment. By characterizing believers as βthose who did the good deedsβ and unbelievers as βthose who committed the evil deeds,β Jesus was not teaching that salvation is by works. Throughout His ministry, Jesus clearly taught that salvation βis the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sentβ (6:29). Good works are simply the evidence of salvation. Those who believe in the Son will as a result do βgood deedsβ (3:21; Eph. 2:10; James 2:14β20), while those who reject the Son will be characterized by βevil deeds.β
Ask Yourself
How does the reality of a physical resurrection help deflect the disappointment you feel when you notice those tell tale signs of aging and bodily decay? How do you balance the biblical stewardship of healthy living with the assurance that these temporary dwellings are destined for replacement?

No one is immune to being afraid of evangelism, but if you set your mind on things above, you can overcome your fears.
Donβt make God out to be miserly by thinking he must be haggled into kindness.
βAtonement is the brain and spinal cord of Christianity. Take away the cleansing blood, and what is left to the guilty?ββCharles Spurgeon
Death comes without warning, and judgment is guaranteed for every soul. You cannot negotiate your way into Heaven after your heart stops beating. Repent and trust in Jesus today before your time runs out.

October 23 (Friday)
Dear Daughter,
Friday riddle: what does the sunrise know that the sunset forgets? That the same sky that closes a hard day opens a new one, unearned and free.
Tonight, let go of today's disappointment and welcome tomorrow's mercy in advance.
Renewal starts with refusing to carry yesterday into tomorrow.
'His mercies are new every morning' (Lam 3:22-23).
What disappointment from today are you willing to leave behind before tomorrow's mercy arrives?
