Men's ministry is not just a gathering, it's a calling. It's where we sharpen each other, hold one another accountable, and grow stronger in faith.
When men rise in spiritual leadership, families and communities are transformed.

Ask anyone if they are evil, and they will adamantly deny it (as did Adam). We, therefore, have to take the rod of Godโs moral law and gently tap the human heart

6 Signs Pride May Be Winning in Your Life:

You compare yourself with others (Gal. 6:4)
4. You notice others' sins before your own (Matt. 7:3-5)

October 7: Courage and the Truth
#Devotional
Ezekiel 16:1โ63; Revelation 6:1โ7:8; Job 34:1โ15
Few people are brave enough to speak the truth when it could cost them their reputation. Even fewer have the courage to speak the truth when it could cost them everything. The prophets, however, set a different example.
โAnd the word of Yahweh came to me, saying, โSon of man, make known to Jerusalem its detestable thingsโ โ (Ezek 16:1โ2). Yahweh commands Ezekiel to confront His people about their evil behavior and demand they repent. Most people arenโt happy to be criticized; many respond with open hostility. Charged with speaking on Godโs behalf, the prophet must be courageous in the face of anger.
Ezekiel declares, โThus says the Lord Yahweh to Jerusalem: Your origin and your birth were from the land of the Canaanites, your father was an Amorite, and your mother was a Hittite. And as for your birth, on the day you were born your umbilical cord was not cut, and you were not thoroughly washed clean with water, and you were not thoroughly rubbed with salt, and you were not carefully wrapped in strips of cloth. No eye took pity on you to do to you one of these things to show compassion for you, and you were thrown into the open field in their despising of you on the day you were bornโ (Ezek 16:3โ5).
Yahweh acknowledges the painful times His people have endured, but His description hints of disdain. The Israelites should have acted on their own to break from the Canaanites, the Amorites, and the Hittitesโas they were commanded in an earlier era (e.g., Deut 1; Josh 1; compare Josh 10; Josh 24; Judg 1โ2; Num 34โ36). The people from these nations were leading the Israelites to follow other gods and to commit evil acts. But the children of Israel allowed the others to live among them. Instead of strengthening their borders and adhering to their worship of Yahweh, they allowed the outsiders to compromise their borders, and they adopted the religious practices of other nations time and time again (e.g., 1 Sam 10โ11; 1 Kgs 13).
The same could be said of many Christians today. God commands us to walk away from temptation, yet we wander back, looking for gaps in the border between right and wrong. Such situations are even sadder when other believers excuse the sin, leading many to live lives of perpetual disobedience. God not only wants us to separate ourselves from sin, He wants us to be victorious over it. He calls us to speak against the evil of our generation rather than excuse it. Through the power of Godโs Spirit in us, we can fight sin inwardly, openly and courageouslyโdespite what it may cost us.
What perpetual sin is God asking you to break from? What should you have courage to speak up against?

October 7 - Jesusโ Sovereign Control of All
#LifeOfChrist
โAt this point His disciples came, and they were amazed that He had been speaking with a woman, yet no one said, โWhat do You seek?โ or, โWhy do You speak with her?โโ (John 4:27).
The disciples came back from buying food in Sychar at the exact moment Jesus revealed His messiahship to the Samaritan woman. The phrase โat this pointโ captures Jesusโ complete mastery of the situation. Had the disciples returned earlier, they would have interrupted the conversation before it reached its dramatic conclusion; had they returned later, they would have missed hearing Jesusโ declaration.
The disciples were amazed to see that Jesus โhad been speaking with a woman,โ which was a shocking breach of societal norms. That she was a Samaritan made the Lordโs action even more astonishing. And had they known the womanโs immoral background, the disciples would have been completely stunned. But they respected Jesus so much that they knew better than to interrupt His conversation. Therefore they did not ask the woman, โWhat do You seek?โ or ask Jesus, โWhy do You speak with her?โ They had already learned that Jesus had good reasons for doing what He did.
As He explained the truth to this woman, the Lord did not force or manipulate the conversation. Instead, He sovereignly orchestrated the timing of events so the disciples would arrive at the right moment. History is under Godโs absolute control, prewritten in eternity past. Therefore, Jesus Himself always acted according to the Fatherโs timetable.
In this situation at a well in Samariaโas so often in His lifeโJesusโ sovereign control of events opens a window through which we can see His deity.
Ask Yourself
Godโs sovereignty is one of the aspects of His nature that disturbs some, feeling as though Heโs too much in their business. But what are some of the many comforts and confidences that flow from this glorious doctrine of His providence?

The basics of Godโs moral law have been inscribed on our hearts by God Himself. Rom 2:15 says the human conscience bears witness to that law. So whether the thoughts of our minds accuse or excuse us, the conscience bears witness to our guilt.

WEEK 2 โ The Long Night & Watching (Oct 5โ11)
7. October 7 (Wednesday)
Dear Daughter,
The North Star never moves โ that's exactly why sailors trust it in the dark.
Be the fixed point in your marriage during its uncertain seasons. Let your faith be the thing that doesn't shift when everything else does.
Steadiness is its own kind of leadership.
'Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever' (Heb 13:8).
Where does your marriage need you to be the fixed point right now?
