WEEK 3 โ€” Hidden Preparation (Oct 12โ€“18)

16. October 16 (Friday)

Dear Daughter,
Friday riddle: what does the chrysalis know that the caterpillar forgets? That the hidden stage looks like death but is actually becoming.

Rest tonight in whatever transformation your marriage is quietly undergoing, even if it feels uncomfortable or stuck.
Becoming is rarely photogenic mid-process.

'We are being transformed into his image' (2 Cor 3:18).
What transformation in your marriage might look stuck but is actually becoming?

The Bible is not a manual for self-improvement, but good news about Jesus. See that and replace drudgery with joy.

"Friday delight: Plan something just for the two of you this weekend! ๐Ÿ˜Šโค๏ธ Eccl 9:9 ๐Ÿ’ž What will you plan? #StrongMarriage #October"
Idols drain us, because they are insufficient and hollow; God gives and blesses us, because he is so super-sufficient, so full.
Trust God more than you trust yourselves.

How would you answer the question "what is worship?"
6 Things Every Christian Man Should Fight For:

1. Purity in his mind and heart (Matt. 5:28)
2. Faithfulness to his wife (Eph. 5:25)
3. Discipleship of his children (Eph. 6:4)
4. Integrity in his work (Col. 3:23)
5. Service in his church (1 Pet. 4:10)
6. Holiness before God (1 Pet. 1:15-16)

Biblical masculinity requires strength, but strength under the lordship of Christ.
Resting in Jesus brings more joy and peace than you could possibly imagine.
Christian, your deep hatred of personal sin shows that the Holy Spirit lives inside you.

Keep fighting the good fight and trust Jesus to preserve you until the end. He is faithful.

Rejoice, believers! We are one day closer to the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

"Our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed."

๐Ÿ’ŽWeek 3: Caring for the Body and Resources

๐Ÿ”ฅ Q3 Commentary: The Altar of Holistic Devotion

๐ŸŽฏ Correct Answer: A

โ€ข ๐Ÿ“– The Scriptural Blueprint: Romans 12:1 (ESV) appeals, โ€œ...present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.โ€

โ€ข ๐Ÿ’ก The Theological Insight: Expository precision reveals that true New Covenant worship cannot be restricted to abstract mysticism, emotional highs, or vocal singing. Paul places the physical body directly upon the altar. True spiritual service requires the systematic, daily presentation of your physical facultiesโ€”your eyes, your hands, your feet, your healthโ€”as a living, breathing sacrifice. Holistic self-discipline is the baseline expression of a mind transformed by the mercies of God.

โ€ข โš ๏ธ Strategy Breakdown: Option B and C deployed highly convincing theological phrases regarding "fragrant offerings" and "the obedience of faith" to intercept voters relying on emotional assumptions rather than the literal wording of Romans 12.

โšก Prophetic Proclamation:
A stone heart offers dead religion, but the living altar demands your active choice. The 45-minute boundary watches your delay. Will you withhold your voice from the assembly? Awaken your conscience, press the option, and declare your stance!

๐Ÿ’ŽWeek 3: Caring for the Body and Resources

๐Ÿ›‘ Q4 Commentary: The Corporate Sanctuary and Sovereign Judgment

๐ŸŽฏ Correct Answer: D

โ€ข ๐Ÿ“– The Scriptural Blueprint: 1 Corinthians 3:17 (ESV) warns with absolute severity, โ€œIf anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple.โ€

โ€ข ๐Ÿ’ก The Theological Insight: While chapter 6 addresses the individual physical body, chapter 3 exposes the severe corporate weight of the local church community as God's building. To bring division, false doctrine, or carnal sabotage into the corporate assembly is to actively assault the holy sanctuary of God. The divine response is not a mild warning, but an intense retributive decree: God will destroy him. God guards the purity and unity of His people with absolute, terrifying jealousy
.
โ€ข โš ๏ธ Strategy Breakdown: Options A, B, and C layered in real scriptural warnings from other books (like the removing of the lampstand in Revelation) to confuse casual guessers who fail to isolate the unique legal severity of 1 Corinthians 3.

โšก Prophetic Proclamation:
The clock is tracking toward the final threshold, and the silence of the bypasser is a dangerous choice. 45 minutes to weigh your understanding against the sword of the text. Break the paralysisโ€”vote now before the curtain falls!

October 17: Shepherding Is a Tough Business

#Devotional

Ezekiel 34:1โ€“35:15; Revelation 17:1โ€“18; Job 37:16โ€“24

Leadership requires accountability, yet many leaders of the past considered themselves above rebuke. Even when their deeds failed to catch up to them in their own lifetimes, history judged them clearly. History often remembers and records people as they really are. And if history doesnโ€™t recall the truth, God does.

Ezekiel was firm in his rebuke of the leaders of his timeโ€”Yahweh commanded him to be: โ€œAnd the word of Yahweh came to me, saying, โ€˜Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and you must say to them, to the shepherds, โ€œThus says the Lord Yahweh: โ€˜Woe to the shepherds of Israel who were feeding themselves! Must not the shepherds feed the flock? The fat you eat, and you clothe yourself with the wool; the well-nourished animals you slaughter, but you do not feed the flockโ€™ โ€ (Ezek 34:1โ€“3).

During Ezekielโ€™s lifetime, the leaders of Godโ€™s people were not being leaders at all. They were looking out for themselves rather than the good of the people. The same is true of leaders in our own time. If absolute power corrupts absolutely, as John Dalberg-Acton remarked, than surely we are all at risk of losing our way. Rather than responding with dismay, we should determine to take right action and speak the truth.

We must be people who seek God above ourselves. We must be people who put the needs of others before our own. We must want the glory of God among all people, above all things. We are all leading in one way or another, and others are watching us. That gives each of us an opportunity to lead by example. And any leader who is led by something other than Godโ€™s will ends up corrupt. Ezekielโ€™s criticism presents us an opportunity to changeโ€”to accept our rebuke and choose to live above reproach. Will we take it?

How should you change your approach to leading others in light of Ezekielโ€™s rebuke? What needs to change for you to live above reproach?
October 17 - Jesusโ€™ Deity in His Works

#LifeOfChrist

โ€œJesus answered and was saying to them, โ€˜Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner. For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself is doing; and the Father will show Him greater works than these, so that you will marvelโ€™โ€ (John 5:19โ€“20).

For a mere man to claim to be God was, to the Jews, outrageous blasphemy. Therefore if they had misunderstood Him, Jesus surely would have immediately and vehemently denied making such a claim. But instead, He became even more forceful and emphatic. In the strongest possible terms, the Lord assured His hearers that what He said to them was true.

He further defended His healing on the Sabbath by tying His activities directly to those of the Father. โ€œThe Son can do nothing of Himself,โ€ Jesus declared, โ€œunless it is something He sees the Father doing.โ€ He always acted in perfect harmony with and subordination to the Fatherโ€™s will. Thus His works paralleled those of the Father in both their nature and extent: โ€œfor whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner.โ€ Christโ€™s statement is a clear declaration of His own divinity.

Jesus continued by declaring that the Father would show Him still greater works. His healing of the crippled man had amazed the crowds. But in obedience to the Father, Jesus predicted that He would perform even more spectacular deedsโ€”deeds that would make His listeners marvel.

Ask Yourself

Is there any application of this principle for usโ€”observing what the Father is doing, and then participating in those very things โ€œin like mannerโ€? How could this become more than a theory, shielded from human error? What would be some of the expected results from this kind of lifestyle and ministry approach?
The worldโ€™s greatest need is Jesus Christ.

The only way to go to Heaven is to repent and believe upon Jesus Christ alone for your salvation, not in any good works you do (Eph. 2:8-10; Titus 3:5; Acts 4:12).
