శ్లోకము 51

భూకంపం జనయన్ నభో విదళయ న్నంభోనిధిం క్షోభయన్

దైతేయాంశ్చ విమర్దయన్ గిరివరాన్ భిందన్ దిశః పూరయన్ I

వైదేహీ మతిమోదయన్ సకలగీర్వాణాన్ శిరఃకంపయన్

కల్యాణో రఘురామహస్తవిలసత్కోదండచండధ్వనిః ॥


తాత్పర్యం:

శుభప్రదుడగు రాముని బాణముతో విలసిల్లు ధనస్సయొక్క చప్పుడు

భూకంపమును బుట్టించుచు,

ఆకాశమును బ్రద్దలుసేయుచు,

సముద్రమును కలిపివేయుచు,

రాక్షసులను మర్దించుచు,

పర్వతములను బ్రద్దలుకొట్టుచు,

దిక్కులను నిండించుచు,

సీతను సంతసింపజేయుచు,

దేవతలను తలలూచునట్లు చేయుచు వ్యాపించెను.

bhūkampam janayan nabhō vidaḷaya nnambhōnidhim kṣōbhayan
daiteyānśca vimardayan girivarān bhindan diśaḥ pūrayan|
vaidēhī matimōdayan sakalagīrvāṇān śiraḥ kampayan
kalyaṇō raghurāma hastavilasat kōdanḍacanḍadhvaniḥ||

Rough translation:


the sound of the ever auspicious lord rama’s bow filled with arrows spreads everywhere
causing : the earth to quiver, the sky’s to thunder, turbulence in the ocean, destruction of the demons,
pulverization of the mountains, encompassing all the directions, pleasure to sita and amazement to the gods.

విమలకమలనేత్రం విస్ఫురన్నీలగాత్రం

తపనకులపవిత్రం దానవధ్వాంతమిత్రమ్ I

భువనశుభచరిత్రం భూమిపుత్రీకళత్రం

దశరథవరపుత్రం నౌమి రామాఖ్యమిత్రమ్ ॥


తాత్పర్యం:

స్వచ్ఛమైన పద్మములవంటి నేత్రములు గలిగినట్టియు,

ప్రకాశించుచున్న నల్లనిశరీరము గలిగినట్టియు,

సూర్యవంశమందు పవిత్రుడైనట్టియు,

రాక్షసు లను చీకటికి సూర్యుడైనట్టియు,

లోకములకు శుభకరమైన చరిత్ర కలిగినట్టియు,

సీతాదేవి భార్యగా కలయట్టియు,

దశరథుని కొమారుడైనట్టియు,

స్నేహితుడైనట్టివాడైన

శ్రీరామునికి నమస్కరించుచున్నాను.

vimala kamala nētram visphuran nīlagātram
tapanakula pavitram dānavadhvānta mitram |
bhuvana śubha caritram bhūmiputri kaḷatram
daśarthavara putram naumi rāmākhya mitram||

Rough translation:

i bow down to lord rama who is like my friend, whose eyes are pure like lotuses, whose body is blue and lustrous, who is the purest amongst the surya clan, who is like the sun to the demons of darkness( ignorance), whose story grants auspiciousness to all the worlds, whose consort is the daughter of mother earth and who is the blessed son of Dasaratha.

జననీ జానకీ సాక్షా జ్జనకో రఘునందనః I
లక్ష్మణో మిత్ర మస్మాకం కో విచారః కుతో భయమ్ ॥

జనకో రామచంద్రో మే జననీ జనకాత్మజా I
హనుమత్ప్రముఖాః సర్వే హరయో మమ బాంధవాః ॥


తాత్పర్యం:

మాకు సీత తల్లి,

రాముడు తండ్రి,

లక్ష్మణుడు స్నేహితుడు,

హనుమంతుడు మొదలగు వానరు లందఱు బంధువులు అయియుండగా

ఏమి విచారము? ఎందువలన భయము?

jananī jānakī sākṣāt janakō raghunandanaḥ |
lakṣmaṇō mitra masmākam kō vicāraḥ kutō bhayam||

janakō ramacandrō mē jananī jankātmajā|
hanumat pramukhāḥ sarvē harayō mama bāndhavāḥ||

Rough translation:
What is there to worry or fear, when our mother is janaki, father is the descendent of raghu and lakshmana is our friend?

my father is ramachandra, mother is the daughter of janaka, hanuman and all the other vanaras are my relatives.

జగతి విశదమంత్రం జానకీప్రాణమంత్రం

విబుధవినుతమంత్రం విశ్వవిఖ్యాతమంత్రమ్ I

రఘుపతినిజమంత్రం రామరామేతి మంత్రమ్ ॥

రామ రామ అను మంత్రము

- ప్రపంచమున నిర్మలమైన మంత్రము.

- సీతకు ప్రాణమైన మంత్రం.

- దేవతలచే స్తోత్రము చేయబడిన మంత్రం.

- ప్రపంచమున ప్రఖ్యాతమైన మంత్రం.

- దశరథపుత్రుని మంత్రం.

- శ్రీరాముని స్వకీయమైన మంత్రం.

- రాక్షససంహారమైన మంత్రం.

jagati viśada mantram jānakī prāṇa mantram
vibudha vinuta mantram viśwavikhyāta mantram|
daśaratha suta mantram daitya samhāra mantram
raghupati nija mantram rāma rāmēti mantram||

Rough translation:
The “rama rama” mantra is
- the most pure and famous in the world
- the soul of sita
- glorified by the gods
- famous in the entire universe
- the mantra of dasaratha’s son
- the destroyer of demons
- sri rama’s own mantra

Taraka Mantra importance

The great sages led by Sanaka asked Hanuman again, “Please tell us the mantra for meditating (or worshipping) the Taraka Brahma Rama.” Hanuman replied: 1. That king of mantra-s is the Ekakshara (one-syllabled) which is the store house of fire, which is Lord Vishnu who is lying down and which is Lord Shiva who adorned with the crescent moon. 2. Its sage is Brahma, meter is Gayatri, Deity is Lord Rama, its anga is waxing half-Moon and its mind is the soul of fire.

sītāyā dakṣiṇē pārśve lakṣmaṇasya ca pārśvataḥ|
tanmadhyē rāghavam vandē dhanurbāṇadaram harim||

candrōpamam malayacandanacarcitāngam
mandāra puṣpa pari pūjita pāda padmam|
brahmēndra vandya maniśam munibṛnda sēvyam
vandē aravinda nayanam raghurāma candram||

Rough translation:
i pray to rama who is adorned with bow and arrows, who is vishnu himself, and has sita and lakshmana on either side.

i pray to the lotus eyed ramachandra, who is comparable to the moon, whose body is covered with the sandalwood paste from the malaya mountains, whose lotus feet are worshipped with the hibiscus flowers, who is adored by brahma and indira and whose seva humans and the sages perform.

సీతాయా దక్షిణే పార్శ్వే లక్ష్మణస్య చ పార్శ్వతః

తన్మధ్యే రాఘవం వందే ధనుర్బాణదరం హరిమ్ II

చంద్రోపమం మలయచందనచర్చితాంగం

మందారపుష్పపరిపూజితపాదపద్మమ్ I

బ్రహ్మేంద్రవంద్య మనిశం మునిబృందసేవ్యం

వందేఽరవిందనయనం రఘురామచంద్రమ్ ॥


తాత్పర్యం:

సీత లక్ష్మణుల మధ్యమునందు ధనుర్బాణములను ధరించియున్న విష్ణురూపుడగు రాముని నమస్కరించుచున్నాను.

చంద్రునితో తుల్యుడైనట్టియు,

మలయపర్వతమందలి గంధముచే పూయబడిన దేహము గలిగినట్టియు,

మందారపుష్పములచే పూజింపబడు పాదపద్మములు కలిగినట్టియు,

బ్రహ్మచేతను, ఇంద్రునిచేతను నమస్కరించదగినట్టియు,

ఎల్లప్పుడు మునిసమూహమునకు సేవింపదగినట్టియు,

పద్మములవంటి నేత్రములుగలడునూ అయిన

శ్రీరామునికి నమస్కరించుచున్నాను.

rāghavam raghupatim rājīvalōcanam

Rough translation:
i bow down to ramachandra, who is the son of ikshuvakus, who is worshipped by sugreeva, who is the protector of the three worlds, who is always with the truth, who is the lotus eyed raghava and the ruler of the raghus.

ఇక్ష్వాకునందనం సుగ్రీవపూజితం

త్రైలోక్యరక్షకం సత్యసంధం సదా I

తాత్పర్యం:

ఇక్ష్వాకువంశమును సంతోషింపజేయునట్టియు,

సుగ్రీవునిచే పూజింపబడుచున్నట్టియు,

మూడులోకములను రక్షించునట్టియు,

సత్యమైన ప్రతిజ్ఞ కలిగినట్టియు,

రఘువంశపురాజులకధిపతియైనట్టియు,

పద్మములవంటి నేత్రములుగలట్టియు అయినవాడైన

శ్రీరామచంద్రుని సేవించుచున్నాను.

We will be chanting Hanuman chalisa parayana every Sunday and today between 1700 hrs to 1830 hrs at karya siddhi hanuman temple .

After the parayana ,

brahmāmrutānanda phalapradayinam
vēdānta vijṇāna sugandhapuṣpitam|
sitāśubhāngāncita bāhuśākhinam
śrīrāma kalpadruma māśrayāmaḥ||

Rough translation:

i take refuge in the wish fulfilling tree known as sri rama, which bears nectar like fruits filled with bliss, whose sweet smelling flowers are the knowledge of the vedas and whose branches are the arms around the auspicious sita.

Importance of likitha japa
Srirama Rahasya Upanishad
Writing name of Sri Rama one crore times(rama koti) or Likhita Japam is a mantra meditation.

Likhitam Japam is an extremely effective spiritual practice that consists of writing down a fixed amount of ‘Sri Rama Jayam’ mantra or the name of Lord Sri Rama in a book.

It is one of the most potent forms of sadhana because many of our senses are engaged simultaneously during the practice. It is deceptively simple, yet amazingly powerful.

The name “Rama” is known as the Taraka Mantra.

It is said that the syllable "Ra" is from the Ashtakshari mantra "Om Namo Narayana" and the syllable "Ma" is from "Om NaMah Shivaaya". So the single name of Rama combines the divinity of both Shiva and Vishnu.

Lord Shiva himself told Goddess Parvati, “I meditate upon Sri Rama as Sri Rama Rama Rama. Reciting Rama’s name thrice is equivalent to reciting the thousand holy names of Lord Vishnu (Vishnu Sahasra Namam).”

Likhita Japam enhances the discriminative as well as retentive (memory) capacity of the writer along with making the mind single pointed for contemplation and meditation. It also provides higher vision of life and physical strength.
Chanting the Rama namam helps one to become pure in thought, speech and action (deed). This is called Trikarana Suddhi. Whatever is thought in mind should only come in the speech and whatever is conveyed in speech should be found in action. A person who attains Trikarana Shuddhi becomes a great person.
