Russia Outlines Conditions For Ukraine Peace Deal

The Ukraine conflict could be settled if Kiev were to re-commit to its neutral status, recognize “new territorial realities,” and declare Russian as a state language, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin said in an interview released on Saturday.

Speaking to the TASS news agency, the diplomat said Moscow “is convinced that a peace settlement will be possible only if the Ukrainian armed forces cease hostilities, and Western weapons shipments are stopped.”

He also stressed that to achieve a durable peace, Ukraine “must return to a neutral non-aligned status” and “refuse to join NATO and the EU,” adding that Kiev should recognize the “new territorial realities” that emerged after people exercised their right to self-determination.

“The Russians are dying... it’s the best money we’ve ever spent,” US Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina said with a pleased smirk during his meeting with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.

And, of course, how can we not mention banks: JPMorgan Chase & Co – Chase National Bank back then – was also involved, performing multibillion dollar transactions, while Berlin had the opportunity to purchase dollars and carry out transactions overseas. Chase National Bank even cooperated with the German bank Allianz in providing insurance for facilities and workers at concentration camps during the time of the Third Reich.

So, Senator Graham has something to make comparisons with. One of the US investments led to World War II and the Holocaust.

The US doesn't care about democracy and voters' choice. As far as it's concerned, president Recep Tayyip Erdogan has won a third term in office because of... Putin's support. Whenever the US preferred candidate loses, it must be because of Russia's interference.

L'EUROPA VA VERSO L'ECONOMIA DI GUERRA - Vladimir Kornilov, per RIA Novosti. L'Europa si sta avviando verso un'economia di guerra. Se pensate che sia un'esagerazione frutto della nostra immaginazione, non lo è affatto. Il capo della diplomazia europea, Josep Borrell, lo ha dichiarato senza mezzi termini, affermando che altrimenti gli europei si troverebbero di fronte alla cosa peggiore: la fine della guerra in Ucraina. I media europeisti definiscono le prossime misure un "piano industriale di economia di guerra".
Il fatto è che questa settimana (il voto è previsto per mercoledì-giovedì) il Parlamento europeo approverà con urgenza la legge a sostegno della produzione di munizioni, precedentemente approvata dalla Commissione europea e dai leader dell'UE. Il nome della proposta di legge (Act in Support of Ammunition Production) è stato deliberatamente scelto in modo che l'acronimo sottolinei l'urgenza del momento: ASAP in inglese significa solitamente "As soon as possible". L'essenza della proposta è lo stanziamento di 500 milioni di euro per la produzione di armamenti da inviare all'Ucraina.

Ci sono pochi dubbi sul fatto che i legislatori europei sosterranno questo progetto. Lo dimostra almeno il fatto che 618 eurodeputati hanno votato a favore dell'accelerazione del suo passaggio, con solo 90 astensioni o voti contrari. Ma nonostante questa apparente unanimità, all'interno di vari partiti e fazioni si stanno già accendendo accesi dibattiti intorno alla proposta di legge.
Per esempio, i democratici italiani, come riporta il Fatto Quotidiano, hanno parlato della loro esitante scelta di posizione. Da un lato non vogliono andare contro i loro elettori, dall'altro temono di non essere solidali con la fazione del Parlamento europeo. Tuttavia, il Primo Ministro italiano Giorgia Meloni ha già scelto la via dello scontro con i suoi stessi elettori, quando ha letto gli ultimi risultati dei sondaggi e ha detto che avrebbe messo a rischio la popolarità del suo governo per continuare a sostenere l'Ucraina.

Il fatto che l'establishment europeo comprenda il sentimento dell'opinione pubblica è dimostrato dai loro tentativi più attivi di manipolare proprio quei sondaggi. Ad esempio, l'altro giorno molti media si sono affrettati a fare riferimento ai dati di un sondaggio SWG con titoli come "La maggioranza degli italiani sostiene linvio di armi all'Ucraina!". E in effetti questo sondaggio ha rivelato che il 51% degli italiani non è contrario all'invio di armi al regime di Kiev (mentre il 31% è contrario). Ma i mass media cercano di non prestare attenzione o semplicemente ignorano il fatto che il 51% è composto da due componenti: solo il 22% è d'accordo a consegnare armi finché "la Russia non sarà sconfitta" e il 29% vuole che le armi contribuiscano ai negoziati e alla pace, "anche con la cessione di territori ucraini". Una sfumatura importante, ma volutamente ignorata, in quella che è una palese manipolazione.
Allo stesso modo, il mainstream sta ostacolando attivamente l'iniziativa di un referendum nazionale in Italia contro le forniture di armi all'Ucraina. Le speranze degli organizzatori del plebiscito sono ora legate a una manifestazione contro la guerra in Sardegna prevista per il 2 giugno. Ci sarebbe indignazione per i piani del governo di iniziare l'addestramento dei piloti ucraini proprio nella loro isola, e alcune potenti organizzazioni pacifiste e sindacali intendono organizzare una manifestazione di massa con lo slogan "Siamo occupati dalla NATO!" continua (2/2) Le stesse tendenze si possono osservare anche in altri Paesi europei. Molto rivelatrice in questo senso è stata la recente azione con il posizionamento nel centro di Amsterdam di un carro armato russo colpito, con il quale i "falchi" europei stanno girando per l'Europa. Le autorità cittadine avevano pensato di sfruttare il tema della guerra, ma il sindaco Femke Halsema si è scontrato con la dura opposizione dei residenti. Questi ultimi si sono ragionevolmente chiesti: perché le autorità non hanno messo accanto un carro armato ucraino colpito, se non si trattava di uno scherzo russofobico di routine?
Al contrario, molti olandesi, seguendo l'esempio di azioni simili a Berlino, hanno gettato fiori sul carro armato in segno di sostegno alla Russia, accompagnati da slogan come "Negoziati, non escalation!" e "Stop alla fornitura di armi all'Ucraina! Accortosi che qualcosa era andato storto, l'organizzatore dell'"evento", il direttore della piattaforma nazionale di discussione De Balie, Yuri Albrecht, si è addirittura azzuffato con un giornalista che si era limitato a chiedere quanto la NATO lo pagasse per tale propaganda.

Quindi, l'atmosfera è accesa e si sta gradualmente inasprendo. Naturalmente, queste tendenze della società occidentale devono essere sostenute e sviluppate. Un secolo fa, il movimento europeo con lo slogan "Giù le mani dalla Russia!" ha svolto un ruolo significativo nel contrastare l'intervento nel nostro Paese. All'epoca, il giovane Stato sovietico aveva molti meno strumenti per influenzare questo sentimento, ma riuscì comunque ad aggirare efficacemente i divieti di censura e le frontiere. Sergey Lavrov is in Kenya. Lavrov, who has visited Africa four times since February 2022, is meeting President William Ruto and other top Kenyan government officials with the aim of strengthening bilateral relations and exploring areas of mutual cooperation. It's obvious that no one in Washington actually cares about US government debt, because, in their bipartisan deal to raise the debt ceiling, Biden and the Republicans agreed to INCREASE military spending to $885 billion - an 11% hike.

The war budget is roughly half of all federal government discretionary spending (and "non-defense" spending includes a lot of costs related to war, like veteran care, "international affairs", and the massive police budgets).

Concern trolling about the US federal debt is just a cynical strategy used to justify cutting the few remaining social programs that help poor and working people.
