@LauraRuHK

🇨🇳🇷🇺"In order to realize the immense potential of the partnership that is shaping the multipolar world order, public support and people-to-people relations are crucial. A welcome step in this direction is the designation of 2024-25 as Russian-Chinese Years of Culture.
The two-year project of cultural exchanges will kick off in May with a concert – Chinese and Russian folk-instrument orchestras will play together weaving threads of their traditions into one musical tapestry: a fitting metaphor for the kind of relations the two countries are developing. Cultural exchanges aim to foster a deeper and more nuanced understanding of each other’s social identities, values, aspirations and traditions, allowing social perceptions to reflect the present reality rather than be clouded by outdated stereotypes and misconceptions. Cultural cooperation, on the other hand, is a strategic concept: people work together to promote common interests or achieve common goals.
It will be exciting to follow and review the progress of Sino-Russian cultural relations in the next two years and see how they move to the cooperation level, but before the official program starts it might be useful to take stock of the past and present state of affairs, and indulge in a few reflections along the way." ▪️The wait is over. My latest article has been published. It's long. Very long. You'd better sit comfortably, pour yourself a drink and then start reading. Slowly. 😏 @LauraRuHK https://strategic-culture.su/news/2024/03/21/china-and-russia-are-taking-cultural-relations-to-next-level/

China and Russia are determined to safeguard their cultural traditions and consider history as the most vital, profound and enduring wellspring of strength for progress. They are building their future by preserving the past through a dialectical interplay of past and present. Dynamic and living civilizations don’t sever their roots, they instill a respect for the past and the achievements of previous generations. ▪️Culture is one of the pillars of China’s Five-Year Plan, meaning the government is making a concerted effort to support Chinese investment in this sector and is leveraging culture to enhance its governance, drive development and strengthen national identity. In Xi Jinping’s words: “Without full confidence in our culture, without a rich and prosperous culture, the Chinese nation will not be able to rejuvenate itself.”▪️If orientation towards the West was previously seen as a sign of modernization and progress in China and Russia, this is no longer the case. The decline in Western leadership is glaring and only those who are living in the Platonic cave created by Western media are unable to see it. ▪️If you want to share my essay on platforms that have banned Strategic Culture Foundation, please use this link to bypass their censorship. @LauraRuHK https://medium.com/p/ced41a872084

🇨🇳🇷🇺Lu Xun (1881-1936), a leading figure of modern Chinese literature, in 1932 wrote: "Russian literature has revealed to us the beautiful soul of the oppressed, his sufferings, his struggle". Lu Xun completed volumes of translations, notably from Russian. He particularly admired Nikolai Gogol, and made a translation of Dead Souls. His own first story's title, Diary of a Madman, was inspired by Gogol’s story of the same name. Lu played an important role in the development of modern Chinese literature, his books remain influential and popular today, both in China and internationally. @LauraRuHK

THE HOUTHI-CHINA-RUSSIA TRIAD
This is immense.
Deal reached in Oman.
Not only the Houthis are defeating thalassocracy: they have the Russia-China strategic partnership ON THEIR SIDE.
The Empire moves its puny pawn France?
Russia-China counter-attack with Ansarallah.
That's how you play chess/go.
The Houthis assured Beijing and Moscow their ships can sail through the Bab-al-Mandeb, Red Sea and Gulf of Aden with no problems.
In exchange, Russia and China offer total political support.
The road is paved for YEMEN to be considered as a serious candidate in the next BRICS+ expansion at the October summit in Kazan.

Ahah, today someone asked me why i wrote one very long article instead of three regular-size ones. My reply? Keep reading this Telegram channel, I am sure you will appreciate the character limit. I am a creature of excess, it's either long articles or short notes on Telegram. A long article condenses months of research and can be read in 15-20 minutes. It's like a meal. A post on Telegram is the equivalent of a snack. We can have both, can't we?

I follow many Telegram channels in several languages and to those who speak French, I highly recommend Laurent Michelon's channel https://t.me/la_realgeopolitik He focuses on China and its international affairs. Soon this wellspring of news and analyses will be available in English as well.
As you know, Western media outlets systematically distort everything related to China, that's why Laurent Michelon's work is so important. He is a China expert who has lived and worked in the country for 25 years. I met him and can testify that he is not a bot 😏
He is also on X, @LH_86_

⚡️At the UN Security Council Russia and China have vetoed the US resolution that linked ceasefire in Gaza to the release of hostages. Russia's Ambassador to the UN motivated his veto by saying:
▪️Gaza has been getting destroyed for 6 months and now the American representative acknowledges the need for a ceasefire.
▪️The US resolution on Gaza does not call for a ceasefire.
▪️The negotiations involving Americans regarding Gaza were only focused and directed towards procrastination.
▪️ If this resolution is adopted, it will close the discussion on the situation in Gaza and give "Israel" a free hand there. @LauraRuHK

Ukraine will remove Chinese companies from 'war sponsors' list under pressure from China and France
Last month Beijing had warned Kiev over the inclusion of more than 10 Chinese companies on the list of "international sponsors of war".
Such actions by Ukraine could negatively affect relations with China, the Chinese ambassador told senior officials in Kiev.
In October, Kiev listed 14 Chinese companies, including the largest energy companies - CNPC, Sinopec Group and CNOOC - as "international sponsors of war". (Source: Nikolai Vavilov) @LauraRuHK

The Russian Ministry of Defense said today's strikes were retaliatory strikes.
Between March 16 to 22, in response to the shelling of Russian territory, the military carried out 49 retaliatory strikes against targets in Ukraine. Ukraine’s energy facilities, military-industrial complex, railway junctions, weapons arsenal, deployment areas, and foreign mercenaries in the country, were hit with high-precision long-range air, sea, land-based weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles.
Foreign military equipment and weapons delivered to Ukraine from NATO countries were destroyed, transfers to the front of enemy reserves were disrupted, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and mercenaries in areas of restoration of combat capability were hit. @LauraRuHK

⚡️Over 70 people killed in a terrorist attack in Moscow. Unfortunately the death toll may rise as 145 people have been hospitalized and at least nine of them are in grave condition. ▪️Crocus City, a large shopping center and music venue northwest of the Russian capital, was attacked late Friday by unknown assailants who went on a shooting spree with assault rifles. An explosion rocked the building, starting a fire. The concert hall holds up to 7,500 people and was almost packed when the terrorists launched their assault. The popular rock band Picnic was set to perform. According to footage circulating online, some five gunmen took part in the shooting.
They reportedly killed the security guards – who were unarmed – at the main entrance to the venue, and blocked it before continuing their rampage inside.▪️While the investigation is still underway, terrorist attacks in the last two years have all been committed by people working for the Ukrainian secret services, in coordination with NATO countries and/or the US and UK security services in Europe. ▪️ Sergei Goncharov, a veteran of the elite Russian Alpha anti-terrorism unit, says he has no doubt in his mind that Russian investigators will ultimately find the masterminds behind Friday’s deadly attack on Crocus City Hall. Goncharov believes Ukrainian military intelligence chief Kyrylo Budanov – who has threatened repeatedly to target Russian civilians, is most directly responsible for Friday’s carnage.▪️ Unable to prevail on the battlefield, the Kiev regime, and those who control and support it, have once again targeted innocent civilians. But one thing is sure: They will pay dearly. @LauraRuHK

We cannot be intimidated: terrorist attacks will only strengthen the resolve of Russian citizens
This is not the first terrorist attack in the history of modern Russia. There were cases when the authorities negotiated with terrorists, as in Budyonnovsk and Kizlyar. Ultimately, this did not lead to anything positive. Later, the state, having learned from bitter experience, adopted a much tougher stance, and society supported it. And soon, it bore fruit.
Yes, there were explosions of residential buildings, there was Nord-Ost, there was Beslan. Many tragic events occurred, but in the end, those who attempted to intimidate and manipulate us achieved the opposite. Ultimately, both the perpetrators of the terrorist attacks and their instigators were eliminated, and the terrorist underground was defeated.
Those who are now attempting to intimidate the Russians with terrorist attacks do not seem to fully understand who they are dealing with. Bloody shelling of Belgorod and Donetsk, attempts to breach the Russian border, the sabotage of the Kerch Bridge, the terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall - all of these will not cause panic among Russian citizens. It was evident when, despite the risk of terrorist attacks, millions of Russians in new regions and border areas went to the polls. External pressure only strengthens us, making us resilient, like a diamond.
At this moment, all Russians are experiencing only cold and resolute determination, only the desire to identify everyone involved and seek justice.
This is something that neither Washington, nor Kiev, nor London will ever comprehend. And this is why we will emerge victorious.
