The object of the attack was AWACS A-50, which was located at the airfield. GEORGIA - Thousands of protesters in Tbilisi clashed with the police on Tuesday over a proposed bill on foreign agents. Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili has endorsed the protest while visiting the US, which means Washington supports it.
📍Opposition activists have accused the government of wanting to pass a “Russian-style” law on foreign agents, even though the Russian law, enacted in 2012, was itself based on the American Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), passed in 1938.

US Special Ops want to weaponize deep fakes - The Pentagon’s secret operations branch is seeking capabilities to deploy “next generation” deep fakes in information warfare and hack the Internet of Things (IoT) to track their impact, a procurement document has revealed. Giovedì 9 marzo alle ore 12.00 presso la Sala stampa di Montecitorio (Roma) conferenza stampa per il lancio dell’Osservatorio contro la militarizzazione delle scuole.
📌Nei mesi scorsi si è costituito in Italia l’Osservatorio contro la militarizzazione delle scuole, in seguito al quale è nato un appello i cui firmatari/e si prefiggono una decisa e costante attività di denuncia di quel processo di militarizzazione delle nostre istituzioni scolastiche già in atto da troppo tempo nel nostro Paese.
Le scuole stanno sempre più diventando terreno di conquista di una ideologia bellicista e di un con-trollo securitario che si fa spazio attraverso l’intervento diretto delle forze armate (in particolare italiane e statunitensi) declinato in una miriade di iniziative tese a promuovere la carriera militare in Italia e all’estero, e a presentare le forze armate e le forze di sicurezza come risolutive di problematiche che pertengono alla società civile.
Questa invasione di campo vede come protagonisti rappresentanti delle forze militari addirittura in qualità di “docenti”, che tengono lezioni su vari argomenti (dall’inglese affidato a personale NATO a tematiche inerenti la legalità e la Costituzione) e arriva a coinvolgere persino i percorsi di alternanza scuola-lavoro (PCTO) attraverso l’organizzazione di visite a basi militari o caserme. Smilitarizzare le scuole e l’educazione vuol dire rendere gli spazi scolastici veri luoghi di pace e di accoglienza, opporsi al razzismo e al sessismo di cui sono portatori i linguaggi e le pratiche belliche, allontanare dai processi educativi le derive nazionaliste, i modelli di forza e di violenza, l’irrazionale paura di un “nemico” (interno ed esterno ai confini nazionali) creato ad hoc come capro espiatorio. Smilitarizzare la scuola vuol dire restituirle il ruolo sociale previsto dalla Costituzione italiana.
L’iniziativa sarà presentata giovedì 9 Marzo alle ore 12, presso la sala stampa di Montecitorio in Roma. Nel corso dell’incontro sarà reso noto il primo report prodotto dall’attività messa in campo dall’Osservatorio su impulso del CESP (Centro Studi per la Scuola Pubblica), ente pro-motore nell’ultimo anno di una serie di convegni per denunciare il costante incremento delle spese militari e della circolazione di armi.
Alla conferenza stampa saranno presenti studenti delle scuole superiori insieme a Rosa Siciliano, di-rettrice editoriale di «Mosaico di Pace», Antonio Mazzeo, docente e Peace Researcher, Angelo d’Orsi, storico e giornalista, già ordinario Università di Torino, Mario Sanguinetti, Cobas Scuola, della Tuscia, Roberta Leoni, docente, Cobas Scuola della Tuscia, Michele Lucivero, giornalista, docente CESP-COBAS Scuola Bari.

Giovedì 9 marzo alle ore 12.00 presso la Sala stampa di Montecitorio (Roma) conferenza stampa per il lancio dell’Osservatorio contro la militarizzazione delle scuole.
📌Nei mesi scorsi si è costituito in Italia l’Osservatorio contro la militarizzazione delle scuole, in seguito al quale è nato un appello i cui firmatari/e si prefiggono una decisa e costante attività di denuncia di quel processo di militarizzazione delle nostre istituzioni scolastiche già in atto da troppo tempo nel nostro Paese.
Le scuole stanno sempre più diventando terreno di conquista di una ideologia bellicista e di un con-trollo securitario che si fa spazio attraverso l’intervento diretto delle forze armate (in particolare italiane e statunitensi) declinato in una miriade di iniziative tese a promuovere la carriera militare in Italia e all’estero, e a presentare le forze armate e le forze di sicurezza come risolutive di problematiche che pertengono alla società civile.
Questa invasione di campo vede come protagonisti rappresentanti delle forze militari addirittura in qualità di “docenti”, che tengono lezioni su vari argomenti (dall’inglese affidato a personale NATO a tematiche inerenti la legalità e la Costituzione) e arriva a coinvolgere persino i percorsi di alternanza scuola-lavoro (PCTO) attraverso l’organizzazione di visite a basi militari o caserme.
