The US Department of Transportation has developed a draft order to ban Chinese air carriers from flying to the United States over Russian territory, the document was submitted to the National Security Team and other White House officials, writes The New York Times with reference to three sources.

From the NYT; Because of the war in Ukraine, U.S. carriers have to take the long way on flights to and from Asia, giving an advantage to foreign rivals flying the same routes.

Restrictions on flights through Russian airspace have been proposed in Congress and among US air carriers for other countries, particularly India. However, according to The New York Times, the White House is "aware of the possible diplomatic consequences of taking steps against a long-time ally such as India" or the potential increase in tensions with Beijing.

The 2nd International Parliamentary Conference “Russia – Africa” is taking place in Moscow. Over 40 official delegations from all over the continent participate in the event, with discussions ranging from Russian-African cooperation to Western neocolonialism.

🌍 Russia in 2022 increased the export of goods to 591.5 billion dollars and took 10th place among the largest exporters in the world, follows from the calculations of RIA Novosti.

The first three places, as in the previous year, were occupied, respectively, by China ($3.6 trillion), the United States ($2.1 trillion) and Germany ($1.7 trillion). Russia has moved up two positions in a year.
