Mezzi scadenti dati a Kiev?

Arab states call for withdrawal of foreign forces from Syria
Four key regional players have agreed that Damascus should regain control over the entire country

The government in Damascus should re-establish the rule of law on all of Syria’s territory, ending the presence of foreign armed groups and terrorists, the foreign ministers of Syria, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, and Iraq said on Monday after meeting in Amman.

Jordan hosted the meeting, the first of its kind since Syria’s membership in the Arab League was suspended in 2011. Prior to the multilateral meeting, Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad met with his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi to discuss refugees, border security and “water issues,” according to Amman.

In a joint statement distributed by state news agencies, the five ministers called for “ending the presence of terrorist organizations” as well as “armed groups” on the territory of Syria, and “neutralizing their ability to threaten regional and international security.” They also pledged to “support Syria and its institutions to establish control over all of its territory and impose the rule of law.”

Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan and Iraq pledged to establish ties with the Syrian military and security institutions in order to “address security challenges.” The five ministers also called for stopping “foreign interference in Syrian domestic affairs.” Their joint declaration also called for setting up technical teams of experts that would follow up on the summit and implement practical measures to resolve the conflict in Syria.

The Amman meeting comes just weeks after Mekdad visited Saudi Arabia and received the kingdom’s endorsement for Syria’s territorial integrity. Currently, Turkish-backed militants control parts of northern Syria, while the northeast is under the control of US-backed Kurdish militias. Several hundred US soldiers are also in Syria, controlling most of the country’s oil wells.

MIlitants backed by Saudi Arabia and the US launched an uprising against Syrian President Bashar Assad in 2011. With the help of Russia and Iran, the government in Damascus eventually prevailed over the collection of rebels, including terrorists affiliated with Al-Qaeda and Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS). While Syria’s neighbors and regional powers have moved to improve relations with Damascus in recent months, the US has not changed its “regime change” policy. (Source: RT) @LauraRuHK

Russian peacekeepers will remain in Transnistria if Moldova withdraws from the agreement on the peaceful settlement of the conflict in the unrecognized republic. This was stated by Foreign Minister of Transnistria Vitaly Ignatiev, commenting in an interview with Izvestiya on the calls of Moldovan politicians to replace blue helmets with civilian observers.

" For the Pridnestrovian side, there can be only one reaction option - this is to continue to ensure peace and security on the banks of the Dniester within the framework of the structures that already exist," Ignatiev noted. " Even if Moldova tries to withdraw, we believe that this will not be the basis for in order to curtail the peacekeeping operation. It must be preserved in any case, because a significant number of civilians live here - half a million of the population of Transnistria, including citizens of the Russian Federation, of which there are almost 250 thousand. All these people require protection. "

An explosion occurred on a highway near Sofia as a motorcade of Bulgarian chief prosecutor Ivan Geshev was passing through.

Geshev survived because his Audi was armored. The prosecutor's family was in the car with him..

A second bomb was found by the side of a road Geshev was to take on the way to Turkey, the Bulgarian National Television reports, citing sources involved in the investigation.
US agents in Bulgaria and US media had previously described Geshev as "the biggest threat to Bulgarian democracy and justice", accusing him of doing too little to stop sanctions evasion by Russia. Maybe other actors didn't like him, but the US certainly wanted him removed. @LauraRuHK

🕯 May 2 marks nine years since the tragic events in Odessa, which culminated in the bone-chilling massacre in the House of Trade Unions.

On that day, Ukrainian radical nationalists intentionally set fire to the building where an opposition group against the new authorities had taken refuge. As a result, 48 people were burned alive, poisoned by carbon monoxide or died after falling from the windows of the upper floors.

The world watched the developments practically in real time, with the terrible footage of charred corpses circulating online.

⚠️ In fact, the Kiev regime repeated what Bandera’s death squads did to Khatyn in Belarus 80 years ago.

It is outrageous that the incident was never fully investigated. For appearance sake, the Kiev authorities found a scapegoat – former public security police chief Dmitry Fuchedzhi. No other perpetrators of the crime have been punished.

💬 Maria Zakharova (briefing of April 27, 2023): “Many of those who were caught on camera and could be identified as taking part in killing people not only remained free, but went on to become public figures in Ukraine, where the state positions itself as a “flagship of democracy” in the region. Only people of that kind could climb up the social ladder in this atmosphere of lawlessness, police brutality, authoritarianism and gross human rights violations.”

❗️ We will never forget the tragedy in Odessa. We will insist that everyone involved in this brutal crime be identified and held responsible.

Britain’s new plan to police the internet, includes user-to-user platforms such as WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal etc.

The Online Safety Bill, the UK's attempt to control social media, would give regulator Ofcom the power to require tech companies to identify child sex abuse material in encrypted private messages. Companies that don't comply may have to leave the UK market. As usual the government is using child safety - an issue no politician would dare to question - as a Trojan horse to remove encryption and privacy. Defining what threatens child safety is easier than defining "risks to democracy". Of course we all know that intelligence agencies and the police have been routinely granted access to private messages, but not on the scale that Ofcom is demanding. The vast majority of people use these messaging apps to share private content believing that it is encrypted. But soon even this illusion might be broken. @LauraRuHK https://bills.parliament.uk/publications/49376/documents/2822

Even a small scale demonstration in China, Russia, Venezuela or Iran is deemed newsworthy in the West, where mass demonstrations are routinely ignored by the media and in many cases brutally repressed. In France, at least 540 people were detained during the May Day protests against pension reform, 300 of them in Paris alone. Violence against French protesters warranted criticism by countries that are usually demonized by the West.

Odessa - Despite the prohibition, people still remember that nine years ago those who did not accept the pro-Nazi regime were brutally murdered in their city. Today locals brought flowers to the House of Trade Unions to commemorate anti-Maidan activists who lost their lives.

This tragedy marked the beginning of the growing civil war in Ukraine. (Source: Readovka) @LauraRuHK

Who interviewed Maria Lvova-Belova for bankrupt Vice Media? Isobel Yeung, who seems to follow the same script whenever she covers Russia and China. In Hong Kong she was one of the notorious cheerleaders for US-funded anti-government protests in 2014 and US-funded riots in 2019-20. @LauraRuHK https://www.vice.com/en/article/v7bdva/maria-lvova-belova-interview

🇪🇺The EU is a racket and if you are looking for evidence, its joint procurement schemes provide plenty of examples. The most notorious of these schemes was conceived during the pandemic, when a terror campaign clouded judgement and gave free rein to profiteers and Ursula Von der Leyen, their chief enabler. The EU's largest contract, for 1.1 billion doses of the Pfizer/BioNTech "vaccine", was signed at the height of the pandemic hysteria and locked the EU into buying nearly half a billion doses in 2023, even as vaccination rates have fallen off a cliff and the pandemic has been declared over. Only 1.7 percent of the EU/EEA's adult population has been administered a third shot and the largest source of "vaccines" is the European Commission's huge third deal with Pfizer. 450 million doses are scheduled for delivery this year, worth around €8.8 billion based on a price of €19.50 per dose reported by the Financial Times.

The prickly topic of vaccine oversupply first became an issue almost a year ago, when Poland said it would unilaterally stop accepting doses. Niedzielski has since confirmed that Poland has stopped paying for deliveries. Bulgaria, Lithuania and Hungary aren't buying it either and call for a new deal with Pfizer as well as a significant reduction in the number of doses.

A coalition of Eastern and Central European countries rejected a proposed “flexibility fee", that is paying more for each vaccine in exchange for a reduction in deliveries. This proposal doesn't significantly reduce the expenditure and now EU countries are paying through the nose for another joint procurement scheme that involves military aid for Ukraine.

It's not clear how many vaccines have had to be thrown away so far throughout the EU. In Germany they put the number at 36.6 million doses . Austria's health minister said that 17.5 million doses are unused in the country. Pfizer's largest shareholders include SSgA Funds Management, Vanguard Group and Wellington Management. @LauraRuHK
