Meanwhile conflicting interests are causing a very serious problem in Brussels. Ukraine will sue Poland, Hungary and Slovakia over their refusal to drop a ban on Ukrainian agricultural products.
The bans by the three Central European countries are intended to protect their farmers. Poland's ruling party is especially keen to stem the flow of Ukrainian agricultural products as its fortunes in an election on October 15 are closely tied to a rural support base. @LauraRuHK https://www.politico.eu/article/ukraine-will-sue-poland-hungary-and-slovakia-over-agricultural-bans/

@LauraRuHK https://www.politico.eu/article/ukraine-will-sue-poland-hungary-and-slovakia-over-agricultural-bans/

Radio France Internationale (RFI), France's state-owned international radio news network: "As the recent G20 summit in India showed, the world order is increasingly fractured - a rift is deepening between the West and the rest of the world, despite appearances of consensus. Are we witnessing the emergence of a new world order? The answer is yes. On the strength of its victory over the communist system in the USSR, the West believed that its time had come. In the 90s and 2000s, it tried to impose its model by force, convinced of its superiority.
Its hubris led the West to believe that people in other parts of the world were only waiting for the advent of Western-style democracy, without seeing that, in doing so, Western countries were increasingly perceived as intruders and economic predators - they delivered grand speeches about the benefits of democracy, but resorted to political and military force and economic domination to protect their own interests. And gradually, a gap has developed between the West and some major emerging powers – China, Russia, and other countries in Africa, Asia and South America – which resent the West's postcolonial attitudes. The war in Ukraine served as a catalyst to accelerate this process. Europe and the United States are fighting to defend their values and interests, Russia justifies its intervention by NATO expansionism. This narrative resonates with many countries of the Global South as we say today. Hence the result of the G20 in India: Western countries can no longer impose their will, especially with regards to the war in Ukraine.
Things are moving at high speed on the international scene. And those who try to build bridges have a hard time making their voices heard." @LauraRuHK https://www.rfi.fr/fr/podcasts/le-monde-en-questions/20230915-la-fracture-entre-l-occident-et-le-reste-du-monde-m%C3%A8nera-t-elle-%C3%A0-un-nouvel-ordre-mondial

@LauraRuHK https://www.rfi.fr/fr/podcasts/le-monde-en-questions/20230915-la-fracture-entre-l-occident-et-le-reste-du-monde-m%C3%A8nera-t-elle-%C3%A0-un-nouvel-ordre-mondial

⚡️The State Security Service of Georgia announced that a coup is being prepared in the country - plotters would follow the typical color revolution scenario, such as the one that led to regime change in Ukraine in 2014.
"A group of people operating on the territory of Georgia and abroad plans to organize destabilization and civil unrest, the ultimate goal of which is regime change by violent means. Protests and riots are likely to begin in October-December" the press service of the State Security Service said in a statement.
Behind the plan, Georgy Lortkipanidze (deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs during the presidency Mikheil Saakashvili), former Saakashvili's bodyguard Mikhail Baturin and commander of the "Georgian Legion" in Ukraine Mamuku Mamulashvili. The moment chosen for the beginning of the protest is scheduled to coincide with the publication of a EU report on Georgia. The report will announce whether Georgia is eligible to become a candidate for EU membership or not.
According to the agency, members of the group have worked on several scenarios. One of them is to set up tents in the centre of Tbilisi, barricade government buildings, and then detonate a bomb in one of the tents so that civilian casualties would spark riots in the city. The State Security Service claims that the criminal group is also considering a scenario similar to Euromaidan in Ukraine, where snipers shot protesters. (Source: RIA Novosti) @LauraRuHK

Due to the erosion of their sovereignty, European countries have become poorer and are rapidly fading into irrelevance in the global arena. They could regain some clout only by shaking off the US yoke and cooperating with China and Russia, their natural Eurasian partners. But to do so, they first have to kick out their corrupt political, economic and cultural elites. @LauraRuHK

@LauraRuHK

Loss of sovereignty is the main cause of Europe's woes and decline - Geography is not an opinion, some call it a destiny. Digital information flows can overlook the materiality of the territory. Logistics, which is energy-intensive, and supply chains cannot. Sourcing raw materials and components, moving them to production, then transporting the finished products to a distribution center doesn't happen in a vacuum. Those who blow up Russian pipelines and try to impose obstacles to the trade with China by sabotaging the new Silk Road (BRI) achieve one result: the impoverishment and weakening of Europe. Until the Atlanticists find a way to make us live on air and ideology alone, the fate of European countries will be intrinsically linked to their geographical position. Ignoring and even pretending to erase reality can only lead to bloody conflicts, such as the current one in Ukraine and those they caused in Afghanistan and the Middle East. Unless Europeans kick out their political, economic and cultural elites - which are corrupt, dependent on and manoeuvred by Washington and London - and regain their sovereignty, they will continue to suffer the consequences of their inevitable economic, social and cultural decline. Deprived of their sovereignty, they are rapidly losing importance on the international stage. These countries could only regain their importance by shaking off the US yoke and cooperating with China and Russia, their natural partners in that single continental mass known as Eurasia. @LauraRuHK

China and Russia should continue to coordinate policies to tackle challenges from re-emerging unilateralism and hegemony, China’s top diplomat Wang Yi told his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in Moscow on Monday.
Stressing the independence of their own policies, Wang said cooperation with Russia “does not target third parties, is not subject to interference by third parties, and will not be influenced by third parties”, according to a Chinese foreign ministry statement.
“In the face of the rising counter-currents of unilateralism, hegemonism and camp confrontation, China and Russia should … demonstrate their role as great powers, fulfil their international obligations, continue to strengthen their strategic coordination so as to advance the process of multipolarity in the world.”
In a separate statement, Russia’s foreign ministry said “the closeness of the positions of the parties regarding US actions in the international arena, including those of an anti-Russian and anti-Chinese nature, was noted”.
Wang briefed his Russian counterpart about “the content of negotiations” he had with US national security adviser Jake Sullivan in Malta over the weekend, while Lavrov “talked about major results of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un’s official visit to Russia”, the Russian ministry said.
The two sides also agreed to continue to coordinate policies in the ongoing United Nations General Assembly meeting in New York, as well as the coming Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) summit, and “many other high- and top-level meetings”, Lavrov said in opening remarks.
According to Beijing and Moscow, Wang and Lavrov also discussed the war in Ukraine, with Wang saying China would “play a constructive role in its own way for a political solution to the crisis”.
Lavrov said a settlement without Russia’s participation was “impossible”.
Wang, a Politburo member who leads the general office of the Central Foreign Affairs Commission, arrived in Moscow for a four-day visit right after two days of meetings with Sullivan in Malta, during which the two sides discussed US-China bilateral ties as well as the Ukraine war and Taiwan.
Wang was expected to join Nikolai Patrushev, the head of Russia’s Security Council, for strategic security talks on Tuesday, before holding trilateral talks with Mongolian officials, Reuters reported, citing Russia’s Interfax news agency..
Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected to visit Beijing next month to attend a Belt and Road Initiative summit, a mega infrastructure and investment programme endorsed by Xi that aims to boost China’s trade connectivity and international influence.
Meanwhile, China’s total trade with Russia in the first eight months of this year jumped 32 per cent from a year earlier to US$155.1 billion, while trade with the US dropped by 8.7 per cent year on year to US$420 billion, with Beijing blaming the Washington tariffs and export controls for the decline. Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is expected in Beijing. His visit to China could prove a boost for Syria’s reconstruction efforts and invigorate the sanctions-hit Arab economy, says a Syrian political analyst.
The high-profile visit, the first in 12 years by the Syrian president to China, will include a meeting between Assad and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Kosai Abido, a Syrian political analyst and author, told the Press TV website in an interview that the visit would allow the two countries to strengthen their time-tested friendship.
“China has throughout the years defended Syria’s territorial integrity and many times used its veto power at the UN Security Council to prevent interventions in the Arab country’s internal affairs,” he stated, referring to the all-weather ties between Damascus and Beijing.
“China also backed Syria following the outbreak of the foreign-backed militancy in the country in 2011, particularly in dealing with the illegal anti-Syria sanctions. Now this visit is a good chance to deepen cooperation,” he hastened to add.
The Syrian analyst said the meeting could help spur development in Syria and bring peace and prosperity to the people.
“I believe during this trip, agreements will be signed to support the Syrian economy that can bring about sustainable development for the Syrian nation, which suffers from international terrorism supported by the US occupation, the Israeli regime and others,” he said.
The analyst said Beijing and Damascus are likely to come up with investment agreements in line with efforts to reconstruct Syria and undo the destruction caused by foreign-backed terrorists.
“Since China is considered a friendly state for Syria and has significant economic power, cooperation agreements with this country should be expanded to include food, pharmaceutical and technology sectors,” Abido noted, stressing that China could help ensure Syria’s food security at a time when conflicts including the Ukraine war have challenged the global markets.
He further stated that the visit could also help the Arab country better deal with the massive Western sanctions, notably America’s Caesar Act.
“I believe this visit will help the Syrian government to nullify economic sanctions. The sanctions have created troubles for the Syrian people and this country needs the assistance of its allies, including Iran and Russia, to break the economic siege,” he remarked.
On what would be America’s reaction to such cooperation deals between Syria and China, Abido said Washington has tried to disrupt any agreement between Syria and Arab nations or even other countries, and new agreements would be no exception.
“Any government that wants to befriend Damascus is threatened by the US not to go forward as Washington wants Syria isolated and weak. This is what Israel wants the US to do,” he asserted. (Source: Ali Ghorban Bagheri, for Press TV) @LauraRuHK

On Karabakh.
It's hard not to pin the responsibility of current events on the Armenian leadership, which, as if on purpose, did everything to make the incident happen.
Pashinyan's team harassed Russia, refused the planned CSTO exercises in January, withdrew its representative from the organisation and, more recently, held exercises with the United States in Armenia.
Pashinyan signed some agreements through France, negotiated something else through the States.
And, finally, recognised his "beloved" Artsakh as a territory of Azerbaijan.....
I do not know what Pashinyan's Western friends promised him, but it turns out to be a real humanitarian catastrophe for the population of Karabakh.
It was Pashinyan's Prague statement that made the actions on the territory of Nagorno Karabakh an internal affair of Azerbaijan, and Russian peacekeepers have the status of observers without the right to use weapons unless attacked. This is their status, approved, among other things, by Pashinyan himself.
It is strange and foolish to demand the impossible from Russia now. (Source: Aleksey Mukhin) @LauraRuHK

Nagorno Karabakh
(Fonte: Aleksey Mukhin) @LauraRuHK

In 2023 the BRI marks its 10th anniversary. Representatives from more than 110 countries have confirmed that they will attend the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in Beijing in October. The wide scope of participation shows that the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) has become a popular global public good over the past decade as it has opened a new development path for global economic development.
The platform has attracted the participation of more than three-quarters of countries in the world and 32 international organizations so far. Over the past decade, it has generated nearly $1 trillion in investment, established more than 3,000 cooperation projects, created 420,000 jobs, and helped lift almost 40 million people out of poverty, according to China's Foreign Ministry. @LauraRuHK

@LauraRuHK

As Zelensky landed on American soil, ready to address the UN General Assembly, The New York Times published an investigation confirming that the missile that on September 6 hit a busy market in Konstantinovka, a town under Ukrainian control, was not Russian, as Kiev and Western media had previously claimed. The timing of the revelation was hardly a coincidence, more likely a message to Zelensky and his regime: the US will not tolerate any insubordination, remember who is pulling your strings. Zelensky's long face at the UN assembly shows he got the message. He is expendable like all other US puppets. @LauraRuHK

@LauraRuHK https://t.me/myLordBebo/7455

The Anglo-American colonization of Europe is enforced by NATO, supported by the dollar and enabled by political, economic and cultural elites that were groomed for this role - many members of the EU ruling classes were "educated" in US-UK universities. @LauraRuHK
